I allow the door to click behind me, as I walk into the kitchen. Parker's got the fridge door wide open, searching for food. I can't help but notice the perfectly sculpted and chiseled back of his. The way his muscles move under his skin is mesmerizing. He ruffles his messy hair, and then reaches into the fridge. A round apple emerges from it. He parts his lips and his eyes shut, ready to consume and savor the taste of the apple. He closes his mouth, expecting to enjoy the crisp taste. To his dismay, he doesn't. Confused, he looks at the palm of his hand, and then the ground. His eyes even flicker upwards. All the while, I'm smirking and trying to smother my laugh. When he was closing his eyes getting ready to bite the apple, I used my telekinesis to take it way. The apple is now sitting in my palm.
"Mmmh," I mummer as I crispy crunch into the juicy apple.
That got his attention.
A mysterious smirk appears on his face. I return it with one of my own. With my eyes still on him, I open my mouth about to bite into the apple. Ow, I exclaim to myself as my jaws clamp together.
"Mmmhh," says Parker triumphal. He managed to snatch the apple away from me at the last moment.
"You better wipe that smile off of your face Parker Smith!"
"Or what!"
I rudely pull the apple from him, but before my teeth can even reach the apple, it's snatched away again.
"Hey!" I exclaim.
Parker raises an amusing eyebrow at me.
I try to take it from him. My eyebrows furrow as I concentrate harder. The apple obediently comes to me, but Parker snatches it back towards him. It ends up being half way in between. The crisp apple is neither close to him nor to me. Exactly in the middle. My steps reach closer to the apple, trying to meet it. It continues to stray farther away from me, but I no longer care. His perfect form has caught my attention. Parker's body is sweetly calling my name. Inviting me to come closer. It's an invitation I don't think I can decline. My pink tongue peeks out slightly between my lips. It sweeps across my lips as I draw nearer to Parker. He raises one eyebrow sexily as he unconsciously bites his lower lip. His eyes trace along my form, lingering on my lips and chest. A small thud hits the ground as our bodies grow closer. The half bitten apple rolls carelessly on the floor as his hips mold into mine. His arms naturally clasp around my waist. Parker smiles sweetly but seductively as he looks down at me. I look up giving him my most innocent impression. My hands gingerly press onto his chest as I drown myself in his eyes and scent. One of his hands slowly comes up to my face. It lingers there for a few seconds as he stares into my eyes, mystified. Delicately, he tucks my sweaty hair behind my ear. His other hand is pressed into my lower back, lightly caressing me. I close my eyes as his breath heats onto my face. His breath gets warmer, and warmer, as he comes closer. Every second seems prolonged or frozen, as I stand there with my eyes closed, anticipating what is to come.
A loud cough is heard behind me as the warmness of his breath rudely disappears. Along with his comforting arms. I displeasingly groan and turn around to see who interrupted this moment.
It's Birch Willingham...
Oh shit.
His eyes blink as if sand is caught between them. He stares at Parker and them back at me, confused at first, but then slightly angry. I watch as his lips slowly mouth the words 'Parker Smith'. Birch Willingham deeply clears his throat and then turns to me. Disappointment is written plainly across his face.
"Lacey Gordan, 12 day suspension."
"For what?!" I angrily and impulsively reply back.
"You know." And with that he slips out of the door.
Of course I know. Not only did I fail the mission, but more importantly I exposed Parker to The Society. It was suppose to be a secret, but it's not like he didn't already know. But, I think Birch was more upset with the fact that me and Parker almost....kissed...Uh oh...What am I doing. I'm not supposed to be attracted to him. He took my mother after all. I should be angry. I should be indifferent. He's just a mission. But honestly, that's not how I felt. I haven't known Parker for long, but after what we just went through, I think it brought us a lot closer.
Parker clears his throat, "Don't think that this means I'm not mad at you anymore, Lacey. I'm just glad that we both came out of this alive."
"Oh please, it's because you think i'm irresistibly hot." I say teasingly.
"Like wise." He replies with his most devilish smirk.
A roll my eyes and chuckle at his response. He extends his arms and embraces me in a hug. A nice warm hug that I would like to stay awhile in.
