Broken, Beyond Repair

~Chapter 10~

We got inside, and I plugged in my phone. I wasn't gonna take it to Starbucks with me while I'm with Jack.

Jack: "You ready?"

Me: "Ready ready."

Jack: "Okay, leggo." We both headed to my car. "I'll drive?"

Me: "I don't care, I guess." I smile.

I'm sitting at the table with the love of my life. It's just Starbucks after all, but, it's with a good person. My best friend.

Jack: "Is everything okay?" He questions me with a puppy face, but not in a sarcastic way.

Me: "What do you mean?"

Jack: "School. Do I need to be there for you a little more than I do now?"

Me: "Your kidding, right?"

Jack: "No. I feel like my life is already bad cause I'm away from everything, but you, your having huge struggles at school with the bullying. I know it. So, do I need to be there for you more?"

Me: "Your always there for me." He interrupts.

Jack: "Yeah but I feel like it's not enough." His eyes roll down slowly.

Me: "We don't even see each other more than half of the day, like, more than three quarters of it. You can hardly be there, but the amount you care for me now is more than I'd ask you for."

Jack: "Okay, good. And thanks."

Me: "Your welcome."

It's later. Jack has been over all day, and he's heading back to his place in a few minutes. Right now, he's just staring at me.

Me: "What?"

Jack: "Nothing."

Me: "Why are you just staring at me?"

Jack: "Want me to stop?"

Me: "It doesn't matter, I just wanna know why." He stands straight up and keeps starring. "You wanna kiss me again, don't you?"

Jack: "Yeah."

Me: "Go for it." He takes my face and kisses me softly and lightly.

Jack: "There, now I'm better."

Me: "Teaser."

Jack: "Yeah, I know."

Me: "Well, see you Monday?"

Jack: "Yes. I'll see you there. Bye lover."

Me: "Bye.."
