I sit for another 2 hours, crying into my knees. My cheeks are throbbing and my eyes burn as if a million bees just stung them all at once.

I'm behind a brick wall, so it's pretty hard for anyone to see me. I look up for a quick second. The street lights are still turned on and very few cars fill the streets.

A tall, young looking teenager is coming my way. I scoot to the left so they can't see me, but that option didn't do much.

The teen looks over at me. I can tell it was a teenage boy. He glances at me for a second. Then, his eyes go wide.

Its Jack.

Jack: "Jenn.." He whispers loud enough for me to hear him.

Me: "Jack?" I look up to him in shock.

Jack: "W- whats.." He could barely get a word out of his mouth. His eyes go to the lace clothing laid out. "Lace? Do you normally wear lace?"

Me: "No." I shake my head and put it down. My hair covers my whole face.

Jack: "Well-"

Me: "Gilinsky. He bought it for me. I got forced to be put in it."

Jack: "Jack Gilinsky? What the fuck was he doing here? I don't get this at all. You need to-" He kneels, but I interrupt him.

Me: "He sexually abused me. I've been in this spot for over six hours total. He beat me here and, he said he still loves me but, I don't believe him. Apparently, he did drugs and drank alcohol. I never knew. I'm terrified for my life, Jack."

Jack: "Wow, that's.. I don't know. I'm gonna run to the store here super fast and get you something to wear. I'll be quick, I promise. Then I'll talk to you about the situation." He gets up and runs over to Target that's around the corner.

Jack: "I'm back. Here." He hands me a plain black t-shirt with some really cute mom jean shorts and a flannel.

Me: "How'd you know my size?"

Jack: "I'm just smart like that." He winks and I smile. "Anyway, Jenn, that's awful. I'm so sorry that I didn't help you."

Me: "You couldn't have."

Jack: "Yes I could have. I failed you. I feel so stupid. Don't be scared though. He won't know about LA. Remember, it's just Philadelphia, not LA where you permanently live. It's all going to be okay." He hugs me tight on the cold sidewalk. "I will try my hardest to keep you safe."

Me: "You know I love you right?"

Jack: "Of course. And I love you too." He kisses me on the top of my head. "Now, let's get you home."
