Brittany: "You care so much about this thing? There are so many other people in this world, and out of all of it, you pick her?" She pulls out her lipstick to reapply, I'm guessing.

Jack: "She isn't a thing, and yes. I do pick her. Now run along. We have our own lives to care for." Jack grabs my hand and pulls me away.

Me: "I had no idea." I whisper.

Jack: "That?" He whispers back.

Me: "You loved me that much, that you wouldn't be afraid to stick up for the biggest nobody in the school."

Jack: "Quit calling yourself that. It's not a positive thing. Remember yesterday when you told me its a good day to be alive? I loved hearing you say that. It's rare to hear those words come out of your mouth. Just, always think about the best memories at the worst times."

Me: "I try, it never works."

Jack: "It never works because you don't try hard enough. Brittany-"

Brittany: "Who said my name?!" She yells from the other side of the empty hallway.

Jack: "I did! Go to hell, Brittany! Bye! Byeee!" She flips her hair and leaves.

Me: "Ugh."

Jack: "Just try harder." He kisses the top of my head and we go our separate ways to get to our third academics. Today is an A day though, which means I'll be seeing Jack for Spanish.

I walk into math, setting down my stuff on my desk towards the back of the room.

Miss B: "Good afternoon A3. Today-"

Nathalie: "Miss B? When are we gonna learn to be as smart as Albert Einstein?" She raises her hand and smiles like a fake stuck up bully.

Miss B: "Actually, according to the Internet, the average 5th grader is smarter than Albert. So, according to that fact, you already are smarter. We're actually going to be going back to ratios because according to the test you all took last year, according to the test scores, you guys are awful at them. So according to that, it shows we need to go back to them." How many times can she use according at a time?

Me: "How many times can you use according at a time?" My thought comes out of my head. Everyone laughs at my comment.

Miss B: "Don't talk back."

Me: "I wasn't talking back."

Miss B: "Yea you were." She turns around to start writing on the board. I flip her off, lip talking fuck you. Everybody laughs again silently so Miss B wouldn't hear.

Class ends, and I head on over to science.

Mr. Sablan: "Good afternoon, Jenn." He fist bumps me on my way in. He's my favorite teacher ever.

Our classroom is a lab. So, our classroom is completely different from the other ones. It's honestly the best class.

Mr. Sablan: "Today we're going to do a short quiz-"

Everyone: "AWW!" We all pout.

Mr. Sablan: "It's for a video, and we're doing the quiz all together on the computer. BUT if you get all ten questions right, I'll do a head stand."

Everyone: "Yay!" We all cheer and get prepared for the short quiz.

Me: "Excuse me, Mr. Sablan?"

Mr. Sablan: "Yes, Mcallister, whatcha need?"

Me: "Is it gonna be like where you pull sticks and whoever's stick you pull, that's who answers the question?"

Mr. Sablan: "Yep, but the whole class will put their fingers up for either answer one, two, three, or four, so you'll get help if you need it."

Me: "Okay, thanks!"

Yay, Spanish time. Spanish isn't that bad, I mean, it's an extra curriculum so, it's not like a normal class.

I walk in and grab my Spanish book on the counter in the back of the room. Once it's in my hands, I walk on over to my desk up in front and sit down. As I'm waiting for class to start, I stare at the door until Jack comes in. He smiles, grabs his book, and sits behind me.

Jack: "Finally, best class of the day." He whispers.

Me: "Nah, science is best." I disagree in a sarcastic way.

Jack: "Eh hem?"

Me: "I'm just kidding, gosh. It's called sarcasm."

Jack: "Haha, I love you."

Me: "Love you too."

Jack and I walk out together to put our stuff back in our lockers. The bell rings, and we quickly nod at each other signaling to hurry the fuck up.

When I finish, I wait for Jack by the water fountain. He walks out, and we walk back home.
