The New Girl And The Bad Boy

Chapter 8- Apologies

I have been dreading drama class ever since it started this morning. Here's how it went down:

"Okay class, I am going to put you into pairs of two and you are going to do a proposal scene!" Mrs Bean says and I roll my eyes

"Adam your with Tori. Sam your with Caitlyn. Nick your with Gianna. Toby your with Avery" Mrs bean says and I mentally curse her out. "Now get with your partners and get started we have a double block today so you will have one period to come up with a skit and next period you will preform it" she says and I drag myself over to Toby and sit next to him

"Look Ave, I'm sorry" he says and I roll my eyes

"Whatever, let's just get this over with so we can get back to not talking" I say and he pouts

"Look, it was a mistake but you have to let me explain. I didn't want to do it, or was a dare. The dare was to make out with Hadley and I said I couldn't do it but she grabbed me and kissed me. I would never do that to you on purpose"

"Okay if your telling the truth, when I asked you about it you made a big deal about it. Why?"

"Because I was afraid I would... Lose my tile" he mumbles

"Your such a prick. Lose your title huh? Well great job you didn't lose your title but you just lost your girlfriend" I say as I grab my backpack and storm out of the room

"Mrs Hunter, where do you think your going?" Mrs bean yells

"Anywhere but here-"

"You are getting a zero"

"Then so be it!" I shout and walk out. I don't even know where I am going, I just walk and don't look back. After the bell rings, I hear Tori calling for me.

"Avery?" She asks while looking down at me and just by the look on my face she nods.

"Look I know my brother can be a douche and that he says about his title and how he's not ready to lose it yet. But I've seen the way he looks at you. He looks at you like he's never looked stat any girl before. He loves you Ave, I know he messed up but you have Ty a second chance, why not him? And if he cheats on you again I will personally kick his ass" she says and I smile

"Find but tell him he has to do more than just say a lousy apology" I say and she smirks. "Come back to class" she says, extending her hand and helping me up. We walk back into class and I sit down. "Okay class, Toby and Avery are going to do something special. Since most of you know, they are going through a rough patch so Avery this ones for you" Mrs bean says and I am confused.

Then I see Toby playing the piano that's in the drama room. He starts singing:

If after all these years you'd like to meet to go over everything

But I ain't done much healing

I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be

It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry
I hope that you're well
Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened?

It's no secret
That the both of us are running out of time

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried

But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

When he is done singing I start clapping and I smile which makes him smile brighter. He comes over to me and gets down on one knee. "Forgive me?" He asks and I nod. He stands up and gives me a hug. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Adam slamming his head on his desk which I find really weird. Once the bell rings I pull Adam aside to talk

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just peachy!" He says sarcastically and I roll my eyes

"No your not now what's going on?" I say and he snaps

"Don't you get it? We have been hanging out and it was amazing. It made me realize that I like you Ave and more than a friend. I needed to let that out before I exploded. And seeing you back with him makes me pissed because of what he did to you. I saw how you were, how depressed and sad you got. I was your shoulder to cry on Ave. but whenever your with him it's like you pay no attention to the rest of us"

"So what are you saying, are you making me chose?"

"No, I would never make you do that. I'm just saying that I don't want you to get hurt again. But when he does mess up again, I will kick his ass and be your shoulder to cry on. I will wait for him to mess up" he says and I smile. I hug him and we start laughing.

"Your a great guy Adam. I know that one day you are going to find an amazing girl and she will be lucky to have you" I say and he smiles

We walk to lunch and everything goes back to normal. We are laughing so much at a story that Tori is telling us about when Toby was seven. I was happy until I got a text

Ty- I'm coming home

I am emotionless at this point and my friends notice. "Ave, what's wrong?" Tori asks and I can't make out the words so I show her my phone and she gasps

"What is it?" Adam, Nick and Toby ask and I gulp.

"Ty's coming back"
