Once the bell rang, I bolted out of English class. It had been much too uncomfortable for my taste with Leo constantly finding some or the other way to annoy me.
Whenever he stretched, he'd push my desk back making my hand jerk while I was taking notes down. He'd constantly ask what page we were on, when he very well knew.
I searched for my next class whilst in this deep reverie. Padding down a staircase, and making my way in my maze of a school. I had history next.
I sat down in my usual seat in the back, and the sub read out the instructions my teacher had left behind for the class. I decided to leave that for later, and by later I mean 10 PM.
I pulled out a book and my earbuds, ready to enjoy my free period. That is, until a certain figure sat down next to me.
I looked to see the mystery figure, and it turned out to be my current, runner up on my "royal pains in my ass" list: Leo Reyes.
"Someone sits here," I lied, hoping he would leave.
I kinda also was short on brain power to come up with comebacks.
"Okay," he shrugged nonchalantly, a what are you going to do about it? expression on his face.
"So move, skeddadle. I can pull out a thesaurus and list more words for you," I insisted, hoping he would get the hint.
I wasn't even being subtle now.
"I don't feel like it," he drawled, his impervious eyes completely trained on me.
A challenge laid in his expression, beckoning me to continue to try to move his will.
"And I just ran out of fùcks to give. Would you look at that," I replied flippantly, refusing to stray my eyes from his; because that would imply my defeat.
A smirk that held a promise of trouble adorned his features. "Well, I'm not moving, and I don't think you want me to move either."
"Oh, tell me, how did you make that educated guess," I arched an eyebrow at him, knowing how this was going to end.
Leo = cocky, hot boy who thinks everything with a vagina likes him.
Tessa = has fuckboy repellent and has been fuckboy free since '13.
He winked charmingly. "Talent, Bambi. It's an acquired one."
"I wouldn't call pulling assumptions out of your ass 'talent.' I call that being an idiot."
A laugh rumbled out of him, a deep, sonorous sound that held the husky depths of his voice. "Whatever you'd like to believe."
I scoffed at him, but refrained from replying because I'd already wasted my breath talking to him. I shifted my attention back to my book.
I glanced at Leo from my peripheral vision, and saw that infuriating smile continuing to play at his lips - telling me that he didn't plan on moving.
At least anytime soon.
