Class 5

Ronny stood outside the tent still not sure if he wanted to face Rose, he broke her trust once more.

“Just tell your sorry…”Jesse said walking into the tent. Rose was sleeping and Shadow sat in the corner, eagle watching. He acknowledging Jesse coming in.

“She is reviving…I think she must have used her gift too much.” Jesse said mostly to ease up Ronny’s worried thoughts.

Shadow nodded not taking his eyes from Rose. He had been training her for a while, he knew her potential and he also knew that it drains her very much, that’s the reason why he urged Rose to use her gift only when it was absolutely necessary.

Rose woke up yawning, she rubbed her eyes. Jesse and Shadow brisk walked towards her and she smiled as soon as she saw Jesse.

“How are you feeling?”

“Great! Ronny?” she asked.

She didn’t even take a second to look at Shadow and smile at him.What wouldn’t he give to be in Jesse’s place? The envy built up in his chest and growled as she asked about that nightling. How could she care about everyone except him? Did she even know that he was sitting right next to her all the time?

“Do you want to talk to him?” Jesse asked tentatively.

She nodded ‘no.’ “I don’t want him to get hurt because of me that doesn’t mean I forgive him for everything he did.”

She said that loud enough for Ronny to hear. Her words were like a dagger to his heart. He knew she wasn’t going to forgive him but she atleast cared to protect him. Ronny sat at the tent soon they should apparate to the academy and he had no idea where he was going now that he couldn’t go back to home.

“If you are ready…” Shadow picked up the bag glaring at Jesse.

“Thank you for coming for me…Shadow.” Rose whispered.

His heart jolted for a second, she said thanks… it cried out thousand times.  Shadow grinned like a cheshire cat and nothing went unnoticed from Jesse. He knew that it was going to be a tough fight for him as well as Rose to chose among them.

“We need a story to tell…” Rose said eying them.

Seeing their confused expressions, she continued. “We can’t let them know about…” she said looking at Ronny who was sitting still as if he was a rock.

“But…everyone knows what happened.”  Rose cut Shadow off.

She told them what they were supposed to say; Rose went out for a walk feeling restless, nightlings snatched her away, Ronny saved her and got her out with their help of course. Shadow didn’t like it a bit, she was practically making Ronny,The Hero when he was actually the Villain.

“You are doing the right thing…” Jesse squeezed her hands. Shadow didn’t understand a bit; how could they care about him at all after everything he did. May be that’s the reason they two were made for each other. He chided himself for thinking that. Being with Jesse would do no good for Jesse, he trusted her too much and supported her in everything without further thought.

Ronny heard the whole conversation, he didn’t know how to feel.He thanked her as soon as she was out of the tent. She merely nodded and tagged along with Jesse.

“You should go with him…Shadow travelling would be safe no one can track your whereabouts…” Jesse said to Ronny.

“And why would I do that?” Shadow bit his tongue, he knew that would lose another point in Rose’s view. He sighed and nodded.
