Larry and Laurent have an extremely close bond as identical twin brothers. However, Larry will discover how deep Laurent's love for him runs.

Laurent's pov:
I'm waiting on Larry to show up at a restaurant. He said he got something to tell me. I hope it's not bad. I spotted Larry at the entrance. He was dressed very nice. I felt a bit under dressed. He had a big smile on his face.

" Hey, my dude. " Larry happily said as he hugged me.
" Hey, my brother. What's the deal? " I questioned.
" I got someone I want you to meet. Oh, there she is now." Larry replied and turned his attention to the entrance.

A black woman walked in with a jade green dress on. She approached Larry and kissed him. I was shocked. I simply stared at them.

" Laurent, this is Ashley, my girlfriend. "
" Your what?" I asked.
" You heard me. Don't start tripping." Larry said.
" It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard great things about you." Ashley said with her hand out for me to shake it.

I crossed my arms and mean mugged her. Ashley slowly took her hand back.

" I beg the differ." I mentioned.

Ashley looked really disturbed and said,

" I'm a go freshen up. I'll be right back."

When she left, Larry kicked my ankle.

" What's wrong with you? " Larry angrily asked.
" Ow, what?" I replied.
" You're being a jerk. Now, stop it." Larry demanded.
" Alright. I'm sorry." I apologized.

Ashley returned to the table. For the rest of the night, Ashley didn't say anything. Larry kept sending me angry looks. I knew Larry was gonna let me have it. After Larry dropped Ashley off, Larry asked me to come to his house.

We sat in the living room.

" What's your problem? " Larry asked with a serious face.
" I just don't like her. I think you can do better than Ashley. " I replied.
" You don't even know her." Larry argued.
" You haven't given me a chance to get to know her." I replied.
" Bulls**t! The moment you saw her, you gave her nothing but attitude. Rather you like her or not, were going to be together. So get used to it!" Larry yelled.

The anger in his eyes left me speechless. Larry huffed and tilted my head up and said,

" Look at me. I love you. You're my brother. Nobody can take your place. But I have needs that you can't fulfill. I need you to respect that. "
" You're right. I love you too. And I'm sorry. I just hate when people break your heart. " I said and hugged Larry.

After our touching moment, I drive home thinking,

Something is not right about Ashley.

Larry's pov:
I couldn't believe how Laurent was acting towards Ashley. He can be so immature sometimes. But I know it's coming from a good place.

The next day, I woke up with a stuffy nose, and sore throat. I picked up the phone and called Ashley.

" Hey babe. " I said in a raspy voice.
" Oh no, what's wrong babe? You sound sick." Ashley replied.
" I am. Could you please stop by the store and get some things for me?" I asked and coughed.
" Of course babe. After I get off work, I'll stop by a store. And then, come to your house. " Ashley explained.
" Okay. I love you. " I said as I blew my nose.
" I love you too, Larbear. " Ashley said and hung up the phone.
