WHAT IF?

Rumor has it

Three teenage friends named Mike, Denise, and Adam who live in Paris are about to discover the truth behind a Les Twins rumor. Keep in mind this imagine is told through the view of a camera.

Mike just got a new camera and decides to show it off. So Mike goes to Denise's house.

Mike's pov:
"Nice camera. You recording right now?" Denise asked.
"Yup. Giving it a test drive. By the way, where's Adam?" Mike asked.
"He's actually on his way over." Denise replied.

Adam arrived at Denise's house on a bike.

"Hey everbody! What's up with the camera? " Adam asked me.
"I'm just having some fun with it. The quality is amazing." I replied.
"I'm glad you guys are here. I gotta tell you what I found last night. I was looking for Les Twins tickets and I found something very interesting. You remember that performance they did where Larry appeared to be floating? " Denise said.

" Yeah." Adam and I replied.
" Well I took a closer look at the video and found something disturbing. Take a look." Denise said.

Denise pulled up a video. Put it on slow motion and then paused it when Larry was in the air. She pointed at a shadow behind Larry.

" Denise. It's a shadow. " Adam said.
" It's a shadow. But it's not his." Denise replied.
" That's his shadow!" Adam yelled.
" No, its not!" Denise yelled.
" Hey, chill out. It looks like a shadow." I said.
" You mean to tell me you guys don't see the hand like figure by Larry's head?" Denise mention as she zoomed in on the shadow.

As they silently stared at the video, the front door swung open, making all of us jump. It was Denise's mom running through the door.

" Mom, where you going? " Denise asked.
" I'm going to take care of your grandma. I'll see you tomorrow. You know the rules. So, act like you know it. I love you. Bye. " Denise's mom said and drove off.
" Anyways, I'm right and you guys know it. Something is not right about Les Twins." Denise said.
" Talk is cheap. Prove it." Adam demanded.
" How could she prove it? " I asked.
"Easy. Let's go to the old Les Twins's house. I've heard it's haunted." Adam mentioned.
" What? That's not true...is it?" I doubtfully asked.
" I heard about that too. You gotta deal." Denise agreed and shook Adam's hand.
" Where's the house?" I asked.
" Actually, it's two blocks from here. "
Adam answered.
" Wait, you talking about that abandoned house where that little girl was killed?" I fearfully asked.
" That's the one. Les Twins was born in that house. " Adam said.

I turned the camera to face myself and said,

" I can't believe I agreed to this bulls**t."

Denise and Adam laughed.

" We should go tonight." Adam mentioned.
" Why at night? You want to die, huh?" I complained.
" Man, don't be a punk. And besides, we won't be seen trespassing." Denise mentioned.
" Night time it is. Meet me back here at 8pm. Then we'll head to the Les Twins's house." Adam said.

Everybody agreed. While I was getting ready, I had a confession moment with the camera.

"I'm kinda of nervous about going to the les twins house. I hope the rumors about it is wrong. But I guess I'll find out. And in case I'm wrong, I want to let my family know I love them. Over and out."

Adam, Denise, and I walked to the old Les Twins's house. We managed to unjam the front door. We stood at the entrance and looked around.

" Oh my god. For a haunted house, it's real clean in here." I mentioned.
" Yeah, maybe a bum lives here or something. Denise go turn on the lights." Adam added.
" Here. " Denise said and handed Adam a flashlight.
" Wouldn't it be easier to just turn on a light?" I asked.
" Since you think so, then you do it. I ain't touching s**t." Denise replied.

Adam and I laughed.

Adam hit the light switch, but no lights came on. They traveled to the living room and found two wine glasses on the table.

" Hey you guys, I think somebody is here." I whispered.

Adam and I looked around and realized Denise wasn't with us.

" Where's Denise?" I asked.

Then we heard a door open.

" What was that? " I asked in fear. "Denise, stop playing! " Adam yelled.
" Shut up. Let's find Denise and get out of here. " I hushed Adam.

Then we heard a scream. We ran to the kitchen and found Denise standing on a chair.

"What are you doing?" Adam asked.
" There was a rat." Denise replied and pointed to the floor.
" Get down from there. We thought you was hurt." I said.
" I'm sorry. I don't like rats." Denise mentioned.

As we headed to the front door, we heard, crying.

" Did you heard that?" Denise asked Mike.
" Hell yeah, I did. We gotta get out of here." I started to panic.
" It could be a tv." Adam guessed.
" Ain't no tv because there's no power. You idiot." Denise shouted at Adam.
" Shut up."Adam shouted back.

Then we heard footsteps from upstairs.

" Let's go check it out." Adam said and lead the way.

Denise and I followed Adam closely. From the top of the stairs, there was a dim light coming out from one of the bedrooms. The door was slightly cracked open. All of us looked into the room. What we saw next would change our lives.

" Oh my god, is that Larry and Laurent?" Denise whispered.
" It is." I whispered.
" I can't believe this." Adam whispered.

Laurent and Larry were floating, face to face. Their hands, mouths and feet had balls of bright yellow lights.

" Please, tell me you're recording this." Denise whispered to me.
" I am." I replied.
" Hey, where's Les Twins? " Adam asked.

In the split second, we turned away from the cracked door, Les Twins disappeared. When Adam turned back into the door, Larry popped his head into the cracked door with "blazing flames" in his eyes.

" AAAAHHH!!!!" Everybody screamed and ran downstairs.

We tried to open the front door. But it was jammed. We ran into the kitchen and closed both doors.

Denise cried out,

" What the hell is going on?"
" They're f***king aliens or something!" Adam paniced.
" Be quiet, I heard something. " I whispered with a racing heart.

I stood at one door and Adam stood with his back against the other door. We could hear furniture moving. The moment it was quiet, a fury arm punched a hole in Adam's door and put Adam in a head lock. Adam screamed and cried as he attempted to get the arm off of him. Denise and I tried to help Adam. But the "Beast" snapped Adam's neck. Denise and I ran out the kitchen through the other door.

As Denise and I ran down the hallway, the Beast ran into the wall, trying to tackle me. I ran into the bathroom and locked the door. My hands was shaking and my breathing was rapid. Growls from the Beast was loud and aggressive. I could hear claws digging into the door. I opened the bathroom window and started to climb out. Once the Beast busted through the door, I fell out of the window and landed into the backyard.

I looked up and saw the Beast stick his head out the window. His large mouth filled with sharp teeth was quickly snapping like an alligator. I screamed and struggled to stand up. I found Denise body, smoking. Her body was completely burned. I dropped the camera and cried over Denise's body. I suddenly heard a growl behind me. Before I could turn around, the Beast quickly snatched me by my shirt and dragged me into the house.

"NOOOO!!!" I screamed and the door slammed closed.

Author's pov

Blaze picked up the camera, stared into the screen and blow flames on the camera until it turned into a pile of dust.
