I had gotten off the sofa and was getting bored. I sighed and started to wander around till I decided it would be best to at least change. I ran upstairs and into the shower, stripping down and jumping in. I let the water warm my skin, slicking my hair down onto my face.
I leaned back onto the damp cool tiles, wasting the water but not really caring as I thought about how I was going to do this assignment with the fake report. A) Try to find the real report. B) Snoop around for info. C) All of the above. Liesma wouldn't be in for ages so I guess C was a good option. I finished cleaning myself with the now cool water then dried and changed quickly.
I started in Liesmas bedroom, the dog growling at me. I looked at the wall, expecting to see the picture frame but only saw a nail in the wall. I sighed and laid down on my stomach, looking under the bed. I pulled out a massive drawer which was locked.
I couldn't find a key so I tried to use my power to make the lock open. I crossed my fingers as I concentrated until I felt a small click. I opened my eyes to see that the lock had opened but I was feeling drained again. "Ok. That's Cool." I mumbled at my new found power and pulled the lid off the drawer.
Inside there were hundreds of photo albums and empty plastic wallets. I opened up the photo albums but they were empty or were filled with scraps of backgrounds without the people in them. The dog kept tugging on my shirt but I just pushed it's head off of me. I stood up and sighed then decided to go into some of the keep out rooms.
The first one I came face to face with was the second one she showed me. The one I guessed was her mums room. I pushed open the door and was suprised to see that it wasn't a bedroom. There were piles of papers everywhere and an old looking computer on a desk. I looked at the papers, hoping to find the file but instead it was just print outs of newspapers. I looked at them to see that they were ones from when Avix died.
What is with Liesma's sick obsession with my friend. I read the newspapers, the words that had been branded into my mind all those years ago burning. No survivors, Tradgedy, Fire, Crash, Ashes, Nothing. All those words floated around my head along with memories of the happy girl, her younger brother and parents who looked at her with adoration.
I pushed away the grief, I had a duty to do and I will do it. I searched through the papers again but came up with nothing. I tried the computer but there was a password on it and I tried until it locked me ou. I gave up on that room and shut the door behind me.
The dog pawed and growled at me but I just patted it's head and walekd towards the library.
As I opened the door the smell of leather and paper struck me. There were bookcases everywhere, all bulging with books. "Holy shit." I cursed as I looked at the amount of books Liesma had. Did she plan to read all of these! I looked through the books of the first few rows but gave up, knowing it was useless to look through all of these. I shut the door and left everything where I had found it before walking downstairs towards the first keep out door. I pulled on it and no surprise it was locked. I didn't want to use my power again so I decided to seasrch the kitchen drawers, pulling out every key I could find.
I felt something tug at my bottoms and looked down to see the dog tugging my trousers. ""Get off." He barked at me but I just tapped his nose and took the keys over to the door. I pushed the keys in and tested them until one finally made the door click. Putting the keys back in the drawer I opened the door to see a set of stairs leading into darkness.
"This is the bit where you find the bodies." I flipped the lightswitch and started to walk down. The dog ran down the stairs and started to growl at me from the bottom. The air was musty and damp as I reached the floor and pushed the dog out of the way. I looked to see a few boxes and a book. I walked up and picked the book up first. Opening it up to see the word Dairy written in child like writing. Underneath that it read Property of... No one speshal. This person couldn't really spell. I opened it to see the first page full of scrawls.
