I leaned against Liesma's locker with my arms folded in front of me. I was still pissed off about what I heard. I would go to my locker later. Now I needed to talk to Liesma. I saw her hair first then the rest of her as she walked down the corridor.

Her eyes caught mine and I saw her freeze. In the classes we had together she had completely ignored me but she couldn't ignore me now. She shook herself before walking over to me and copying my actions.

"What do you want?" She moved her hand and I instantly grabbed it before dragging her down the hall. I took the old wing and then went to the back classrooms that were always empty before opening the door and pushing her in.

I strolled inside and shut the door leaning against it. "I thought I had proved you wrong." She looked confused and slowly backed away until she came to a desk. "Ummm... Proved me wrong how?" One slender eyebrow rose as she tilted her head slightly, examining me as if I had lost my mind.

"I don't care about anyone? I'm heartless? I thought I proved to you that you don't need to hate me! I followed most of your stupid rules. I haven't said anything bad about you in a long time Liesma. Yet you still have the same opinion of me." She sighed and sat up on the desk.

"You're welcome. I was trying to stop Molly from falling too hard for you since you DON'T care for anyone. You're dismissive and spiteful to your parents and rude to your sister. Your friends only hang around with you because you have money!"

"You don't know anything about my family." She jumped off the table and moved towards me slightly. "When your parents came round to discuss the terms of the tenancy with my mum they gossiped. Apparently you're so focused on partying and your social life that you treat your mum as a servant and your dad as an ATM!"

I glared at her and stepped forward as I spoke. "You don't have a mum." She looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Your parents have been on a buisness trip for 13 YEARS! Face it Lie, they've abandoned you a long time ago. I don't know who my parents spoke to but it wasn't your mum." I noticed her eyes had started to shimmer but my anger had risen too high now to back down.

"You call me heartless? You only care about your dog. Without your dog you're all alone. Oh wait, you have Maye? It seems to me youj only talk to Maye when you need something. Now tell me the truth or I'll get it out of you. Why do you still hate me?"

A smug smirk grew on her face as she folded her arms. She seemed cocky but her eyes still shimmered with tears and I could see her hands clenched into tight fists. "Fine, use your powers. Because of my little incident this morning any Powers are ineffective on me." I chuckled and walked her back to the desk.

Do not take this too far Kalix. I acknowledged the voice but didn't reply. "I don't need powers." I slipped my hand into my pocket and felt the small box of matches. I quickly pulled the box out and swiped a match on the board. There was a ripping noise before a brilliant glow took over the top of the match. I pushed my power into the match and persuaded it not to burn down too low.

Liesma's eyes had widened as she tried to back away. "Kalix... D..Don't do whatever you're thinking of doing. Whatever you do, do not bring that flame anywhere near me." I walked towards her and held the flame close, making sure it didn't touch her skin or hair or burn her in anyway. There were no sprinklers or alarms down here since it's never used anymore.

She blew onto the match but I moved it away so it wouldn't go out. "Tell me." I brought the flame closer but above where her breath could reach it. "Put the flame out and I'll tell." I pulled the flame away but didn't blow it out.

"I didn't hate you for a bit, I just kinda disliked you..." "But?" she glared at me then the flame. I blew it out and could see the relief roll off of her in waves. "But then you started questioning me, controlling me with your powers and now this." She signalled the the blackened match which was still smoking gently.
