I hopped out of the shower and quickly wrapped a towel around my waist. I walked over to the mirror and inspected my face. I quickly shaved before turning my head upside down and brushed my hair so that it would dry normally instead of sticking to my scalp.

I quickly pulled some lounge pants on before walking back downstairs. I couldn't really be bothered to put a shirt on since my hair would just soak that. I could instantly smell food and wandered into the kitchen. Liesma seemed to have changed and was bouncing around to some music while cooking some food.

"Prison gates won't open up for me..." She sung slightly out of tune, however I couldn't complain because it was better than my attempt at singing. I walked behind her silently and grabbed the sides of her waist on the nerve that made everyone jump. "She squealed and turned around, a headphone falling out of her ear.

She slapped a hand against my chest and glared at me. "Not funny. I almost dropped the food." I actually laughed properly at her face. "That was amazing." I got out between laughs. I heard a drawer open and close and then she was hitting me on the head with a plastic spatula. "Get out of the kitchen. I'm cooking today. You gonna eat with me or not?" I remembered some of Liesma's food that I ate and instantly my stomach growled. "I'll take that as an I'm eating with you."

She turned back to the pan and started pushing whatever it was around. "What is that?" She looked at it then back up to me. "It's steak." She looked at me as if I was stupid. I hadn't really watched anyone cook so I only knew what food looked like after it was cooked. "Oh, then could I have mine medium-rare please." She nodded then hit me on the head again. "Now get out of my kitchen. I don't want you to destroy it." I rolled my eyes but left anyway.

The meal she placed on the small surface she used as a table, looked like it belonged in a restaurant and it smelt amazing. "You should become a chef." She half-smiled before placing another plate next to me. She puffed and sat down.

"That's the plan." So she wanted to become a chef. I'm not surprised with the food she cooks. I pushed some of the food into my mouth and groaned. "This is amazing." This time she smiled fully. "Thanks. Nobody's really tried my cooking before besides me." after she said this she just blushed and went back to her food.

I wanted to ask a question, it had been burning inside me ever since I  started staying here but I'd been keeping it in. "Where is your mum?" I watched her stiffen then relax again in a second. "She's on a buisness trip." A buisness trip for a month. "How long will she be?" She shrugged and continued to eat.

I wanted to ask more but he silence warned me not to push the subject. I felt the chihuahua killer nudge my calf and looked down at it. It always seemed to warn me when things that I was going to do would go wrong. "How long has she been away for because I don't believe she was here when my parents apparently met her." I watched her cut the steak on her plate. Keeping her eyes on her food not on me or anything else.

"It doesn't really matter. I mean I'm 18 so it's not like I'm a 5 year old kid all alone." Her voice was suprisingly calm but I could tell it was her Avix voice, The hidden one that masked her emotions.

"I was just wondering since this place only has 2 bedrooms. Yours and the one I'm renting which I guess was your parents. But it looked and felt unused for ages. And what about your dad." I watched as the dog pushed his nose against my calf again, harder this time.

"My Parents are away on a buisness trip!" She replied. The thought of food had left both our minds as she stood up and started to walk away. I hurried after her. She was just about to walk into her room when I grabbed her arm and spun her.

I could see her eyes were shimmering and for once in my life I didn't want to hurt her. "How long have your parents been away." I pushed alot of power into her but not enough that I would be worn out. I watched her try to fight it but she had little energy. Her eyues begged me not to, to remove my power but I wanted an answer. "My parents have been on a buisness trip for 13 years." I instantly let go of her arm and she glared at me.
