Before I stepped out of the Justice Building, I wiped my tears from my face, and quickly put my hair into a high ponytail. All of Panem was about to watch me and I will not give them the satisfaction of having them see me weak. That would be a disgrace to my family and to my district.

Once the Peacekeeper opened the door I stepped out with my head held high, smiled, and did my best strut. The crowd cheered my name and Marvel's. Their roars of encouragement drilled into my blood system and with every step I took the more confident I knew that I was going to be their victor. I was going bring glory and most of all fulfill the promise I made to my family and for Ivory. Definitely for Ivory.

Before I aboard the train, I put my hand up to silence the crowd. The crowd quickly died down, waiting to hear what I had to say. I made my voice clear and loud so everyone could hear. So all  Panem could hear.  "I will not dishonor you my District. I will win for each and everyone of you. For your children, for your family and for your friends. But mostly I will not let my sister's death be in vain and a dishonor to this district....or to Panem. I will win for you, my people!" The crowd cheered and I smiled big.

I  stepped in  the train and that's when I let my guard down just a little bit. I wasn't going to let that Marvel see me weak either. From now on he is my enemy. I walked into the food compartment of the train and see a table filled with delicacies. Marvel, Annette, and Cashmere, who must be our mentor this year, sitting at it, eating already. I didn't say anything as I walked towards it and pulled my chair out.

"Oh, Glimmer darling, do you want to change first before you eat?" Annette says, while setting down her wine glass.

I looked down to dress and see it covered with Ivory's blood. I looked at it with sorrow. All I could think was that this was her life source and I had to get out of it. "Where can I change?" Annette pointed to a room and I quickly walked to it. Once I was in there, I ripped it off.  It was already ruined and I liked the feel of my muscles expanding with my strength as each thread snapped. I threw off my heels and quickly went to the chest that I knew it was filled with clothes. I grabbed a pink tanktop, some black slacks, a sports bra, and some tennis shoes. I looked at my arms and saw that I also had some dried blood. I sighed and qucikly hit the shower.

After I looked presentable, and blood free, I came out and saw that everyone was almost finshed with their lunch.  I pulled my chair out again and sat down, filling my plate with my favorites.  The food was almost cold but it still tasted like I had a piece of heaven. No one really talked, Annette spoke the most and Cashmere didn't say anything.  Once everyone was done it was then she spoke.

"Hello there young tributes." she said, "I am this year's mentor. My brother Gloss was going to help me whip you two in shape, but he decided to skip out on me this year."

Marvel and I just nodded.

"Glimmer, I will like to say good job with the speech before coming on the train that will help you get more sponsers."  Cashmere said with a smile. She then unsmiled and gave Marvel a hard look. "You need to step up your game or you won't survive."

We both nodded and while Cashmere wasn't looking we glared at each other. That's when we heard the cheering. I looked out the window and saw Capitol people waving and cheering us on. Some of them were jumping up and down while having their hands by their face while others were just throwing flowers  at the train or pumping their fists. I turned on my most charming smile and waved, winked, and blew a kisses at them, which drove them even more nuts. Marvel saw what I was doing and started doing the same. Once the train stopped, we all filed out and the Capitol people were cheering on our names. But the name that was shouted the most- was mine. I smirked and waved at them shouting that I will win for them. In response they all got even more excited. I couldn't wait for the games to start. Their cheers was the fuel to my longing to get start the killing. All I cared about at that moment was getting that taste of victory...
