Gah, where is she............... or he? I thought as I waited for my designer to come into the small room. I was in white fluffy robe, laying on my back on a small bed that was provided. Once I got off the train I was ushered to get gussied up with my prep team. When they saw me they all squealed with delight.

"Thank the stars that we have someone so pretty to work with this year!" a girl with pink leopard skin says, who I learned that her name was Leondra later on.

"OH MY SNOW- I KNOW RIGHT!" said another girl who's hair was a huge cotton candy ball. Her name was Candy.

"Hi girls," I said as they came and hugged me.

"We are going to make you look like a star,"  Candy says as she and Leondra led me to the prepping chair.

"Agreed, "Leondra purred.

3 hours later, I was body hair free, highlights in my hair, make-up caked on my face, and my nails sparkled from the glitter polish. I had to agree with the my prep team, they made me look fabulous.

They kissed my cheeks before going and left me in a room that was down a hallway from the prep room. It had been 2 hours since they left me and I was dying out of boredom before I even got into the Games. I checked the clock on the wall for the hundredth time and saw that in 2 more hours the Tribute Parade was going to start. I sighed not knowing what to do. They didn't have anything for me to read or watch. Just this stupid white couch in this stupid white room. It felt like I was in an Elysium room except there was a door and that the door was unlocked. Wait, that door was unlocked.

Not caring that I would get in trouble, they were already going put me to my death anyway, I open the door.  My prep team was stupid to keep it unlocked. I was just going for a little walk. I was still going into the Games but I couldn't stand to be in that room for much longer  I closed it without a noise and snuck into the prep room. I looked around and relieved not seeing anyone in there. I saw the outfit I was wearing earlier and quickly pulled it on. I went back to the hallway that held the White Room and walked passed it. As I wandered through the halls, I turned into a hallway where there was a bunch of peacekeepers. My heart stopped in fear. Luckily they weren't looking at my way.  I turned on my heel and got out of there quickly as I could. Once I was little ways from their hearing, I started running back to the White Room. That's when I met him.

I wasn't paying attention to where I was going when I was running. The only thing on my mind was that I had to get back to the White Room or I would get in deep trouble. I was turning into a different hallway when I collided with someone. We both fell over hitting the ground hard.

"What the heck!" the person cried out.

I sat up looking at the person I ran over. Once I saw him, my heart started to thud a little bit. Man was he gorgeous. He had dark curly hair that fell over his purple eyes, his face masculine. I didn't noticed that I was staring at him until he said, " What are you looking at?"

That's when I found my voice, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to run into you."

He got up and extending his hand. I took it and his hand was extremely warm and strong. "Are you all right?" he asked.

I laughed, "Aren't I suppose to ask you that?"

"Yes, but you are the girl so I should be asking you that."

"I'm fine," I replied. "Are you okay? I'm sorry that I ran into you like that."

"I'll be fine. Why were you running?"

I dodged his question, "Let's have a better start. Hi, I'm Glimmer." I said extending my hand for a hand shake. He noticed that I dodged the question but he took my hand anyway, "Hello there, Glimmer. I'm Xavier."

"Nice to meet you, Xavier."

"Wait, aren't you Glimmer, the district 1 tribute?" I nodded. "So that's why you were running? You were escaping?"

My eyes widen, " No no no no. They put me into a white room with nothing to do, so I go bored and went exploring. I plan on going into the Games. I'm doing it for my sisters."

Xavier smiled and good God his smile melt my heart, " Oh so you're a trouble maker?"

"You could say that," I smiled back, "Well it's nice meeting ya, Xavier,  but I must get back to that room."

"Can I escort you back? I know the halls of this place and I can tell you that you are going the opposite way from your room."

My heart skipped, I wanted to be with this guy a little longer.

"So what are you doing through these halls?" I asked as we made our way through the halls.

"Well, I was on my way out from doing my job." he says.

"What is your job?" I asked.

"Well, I'm part of the prep team for District 3," he says. So he was a stylist. That's when I noticed the black eyeliner on his top eye lid and the tattoo by his collarbone and arms. The tattoo was like  ballet ribbons on an ankle but it was around his defined arms and printed in black.

"Oh that would be fun to do. So you have lived in the Capitol for how long?" I say.

"I lived here my whole life. Tell me about District 1."

"What do want to know about it?" I asked looking at his face.

"Well is there other pretty girls like you there?"

I blushed," I guess. My sister was the most beautiful one there. Her name was Ivory."

"Was?"

Tears formed in my eyes but held them back, "Yeah, she died today when she was reaped."

"Oh, I'm sorry." Xavier says taking his eyes off of me.

"It's okay, you didn't know. That's why I need to win the Games. For her."

"What was she like?"

"Well first off, she was one of the few girls in my district with dark hair and she was the most selfish person I knew. But she was still my sister you know. She had her own unique sense of humor and God, had the best fashion style. Even though she was a little brat, she was also the most smart, intelligent person I knew."

"She sounds amazing. So it is true that is rare to have dark hair?"

I nodded, glad to be somewhat off the topic of Ivory. "Oh, yeah. Boys went after them like bees to honey."

We talked about District 1 a little bit more until we got in front of the door to White Room. My heart sunk to the ground, knowing that this was probably the last time I will see Xavier again. He made me feel like I was the only girl in the world, which seems really strange since we met like 10 minutes ago.

"Well, I guess this is a goodbye, " I say, my hand on the knob of the door.

Xavier took my hand and laid his warm lips on it, "I hope we meet again, Glimmer."

"Me too," I smiled.

He let go of my hand, the warmth of his lips still lingering. "Until then. I really hope we meet again. You are something special." He turned around and walked down the hall. I stared after him, my heart beating fast under my rib cage.
