The mind can only consume so much at once. Too much information and it stops working. Everything around you goes blank and you start to forget where you are or even yourself. You go into a world you've created inside your mind and everything else disappears until your mind decides to bring you back to the harsh reality of life.
Thats what happened to me when I saw Ivory standing there. I couldnt handle it; I can only be so strong.
I finally broke.
But the world your mind brings you could be terrifying. Hell, its a terrifying place all the time. My hallucination was just terrible.....
There was a tap tap in the echoed room."Hello?" I shouted out into the abyss. It was pitch black and I couldnt see anything around me but I knew someone was out there.
No one answered me back. I was afraid to wander around, afraid that I was going to find the dead bodies of my victims. I decided to sit down and sing to myself to keep myself occupied but I heard the tapping noise again. I called out once more and once again no one answered back. I was starting to feel more spooked and sang a little louder. Every five minutes the tapping would sound and it would get louder each time. An hour of it, I started covering my ears and started to sob but I kept singing. All my strength was gone. That strong Glimmer was gone and left behind was a fragile broken girl who lost her sanity.
Ivory's Perspective
I looked down on at the ground trying and was trying to keep myself together. I needed to stay strong for Glimmer. I never thought that she was able to break like that and truthfully, it scared me. I may not have shown it but I always looked up to her. Why I was competitive on beating her in everything, I have no idea. I was a cocky, snotty bitch, I admit, but that all changed when I was almost dead.
"How is she?" said a deep voice. I jumped a little, I wasn't suppose to be in the room, and looked up to see a Capitol citizen standing in front of me. His purple eyes looking at my sister with deep concern. Anger flooded into my viens. How dare he look at her like that! He was one of those people who enjoyed the Games. I grabbed him by the collar of the grey plain shirt and pulled him with all my strength out into the hospital's dreary hallway.
"Stay away from her," I growled.
"I care for her, why acting so hostile?" he asked, annoyance peaked through his voice.
I ignored the jab," Who are you and how do you know my sister."
"Im Xavier," he replied, "I met her during her stay in the cap-"
"I THOUGHT I HAD TOLD YOU NOT TO BE IN HERE!" A nurse was storming towards me and I cursed silently. "Didn't you learn last time when she woke."
I turn towards Xavier," I'm not finished with you and dont you dare vist my sister."
I started to run to my room to avoid the nurse's yelling. It wasnt pleasant and she was immune to my charms.
