"Please just try this one on!"
"Really Finn?! That wouldn't even cover my belly button, and it's a dress!"
Currently I am standing in what looks like a wedding dress while Finn shows me more dresses to try on. Brian and Maddox left a while ago to get some sort of greasy fast food.
"How about this one?"
Finn holds up a bright yellow mini dress, tight and short.
"No. Nope. Never." I sigh wiping my hand over my face.
"Willa how about this one!"
Finn holds up a black dress, looking to be mid length with a low backing.
"Eh."
"Just try it on," I grab the dress from Finns hold and walk back into my dressing room.
It could be worse...
The dress itself, thankfully, is not too short. Since it is homecoming I opted out of all the long dresses Finn had picked.
"How about this- Damn Willa." Finn stops herself as I walk out of the fitting room.
"Is it ok?" I say doing a little spin.
Finns mouth drops wide open, "Willa you look amaze balls!
I hear wolf whistles making me turn to see a group of guys walking up to us, I really don't have time for this.
They look to be our age, some of them younger, "What do they want," Finn groaned.
Finns phone starts to ring as they reach us, "One second Willa, it's Brian."
"Hey there pretty girl," one boy says reaching up to shake my hand.
"Uh.. Hi?" I shake his hand back wondering why he is being so casual.
The boy has wide blue eyes with blonde, almost white, hair, definitely attractive but not as attractive as Kaden.
"My friend and I saw you in this dress and I have to say, you look amazing," he smiles at me making two dimples arise on his cheeks.
"Oh, uh thank you?" I laugh in return.
"My name's Lucky. Well actually my real name is Lucc but Lucky sounds better so just call me Lucky."
"Okay Lucky? I'm Willow but you can call me Willa."
His group of friends slowly disperse leaving me and him alone.
"Oh thank God!" Lucky mutters in relief.
"Excuse me?"
"Oh.. My friends dared me to go up to you to see if I could start a conversation. Sorry for sounding so cocky.." Lucky rubbed the back of his neck in awkwardness.
"It's okay, and by the way, not to sound like one of those girls, but I have a boyfriend.." At least I think I do.
"Aww, dang it. Why do all the good girls have to be taken?" Lucky pouts, scowling to himself.
"Trust me Lucky this 'good girl' has too many problems for your young mind to deal with," I laugh to myself even though I fully mean what I just said.
"Well.. Can I have your number? I'm not hitting on you or anything but I don't know.. You're sort of refreshing to talk to you.." I think it over, wouldn't Kaden be mad? Actually right now Kaden can shove a cucumber up his arse.
I reluctantly nod my head giving him my number. Of course I'm not flirting with him but I don't know I only gave it out of spite of Kaden.
"Thanks! It was nice talking to you but I got to go. See ya later Willa!" Lucky runs off to where his friends seemed to have dispersed.
