Schools shit.
Without Kaden here I'm stuck to mope around school like a lost puppy. At least Maddox sticks by my side the whole day.
1st period was eh, I was forced to sit in the front though because I guess Ms. Ford thinks I'm one of the rotten pupils now because I hangout with Wilder. I mean just cause he has a bunch of tattoos and a few piercings doesn't mean he's a bad person, he's just different.
Blaze and I talk about Georgia O'Keefe and his fascination of art for the rest of the periods unless Maddox and Wilder are there.
Lunch comes torturously slow and I couldn't be happier when it finally does arrive, well I mean I could technically, if Kaden were here. High school meatloaf is also a downside, maybe they have pizza.
"Willa!" My head whips to the side as I see all my friends sitting down at Kadens table. Man, it just doesn't feel the same without him here. The atmosphere is just as joyous to others but to me, it just isn't right.
I make my way over to the idiots I call my friends, even Wilder decided to sit with us today, of course Rose is no where to be seen. Once I reach my seat I sit down next to an ecstatic Maddox, "Willa!" he shouts hugging me.
"Maddox!" I shout smiling into the hug.
"Oh I've missed youuuu."
"I saw you in second period?" I pull back a bit but Maddox of course decides to keep his arm on my shoulder. This man may look like a runway model but, man is he heavy. His tanned arms constrict me as I struggle to grab a slice of pizza Finn thankfully got for me.
"Is Kaden doing any better? I heard about how he got the flu," Blaze says munching on a huge slice of mushroom pizza. Mushroom by far is one of the best toppings on any pizza, well in my opinion it is anyway. I mean, plain cheese is the way to go but sometimes I like to spice things up a bit. Plus it makes me feel healthy in a sort.
"He's doing okay, probably needs to go to the doctor, thanks for asking though," Blaze nods and looks down with a smile.
I look around and see that no one else is really caring to pay attention to see if Kaden is okay or not. Sometimes I wonder if anyone actually cares about how he's doing besides Maddox and Blaze. Also me of course.
Looking around the cafeteria, I find it funny how all the girls who worship him day and night are not even caring to ask anything about his current state. Besides maybe a get well soon tweet or Facebook message to Kaden, which we all know people write to get likes, no one actually cares.
The whole point of high school to these idiots is to get a higher social status and some recognition. What's even funnier about this whole situation is, Kaden couldn't really give a damn about what people think about him. He doesn't acknowledge any tweets or Facebook messages to him, he doesn't care.
Even at one point I wanted to be popular, I wanted someone, at least someone to notice me besides Finn and Bella. Deep down, deep down, I wanted to be known. Even if I denied that to myself, I wanted some sort of recognition.
Which is stupid. So stupid.
"Willa?"
Snapping out of my thoughts I look up to Maddox, whose arm is still crushing onto my body, "Yeah?"
"Are you gonna get your phone?" I look down to see it buzzing nonstop.
I open my phone to see a ton of messages, all from Kaden of course.
