His face is relaxed, not like his usual rigid stance. It is soft and innocent looking, if it wasn't for his slight amount of stubble and sharper features he hasn't changed at all.
"Willa?"
"Yeah Kade?" I say breaking from my trance.
"You were staring at my face like a predator to their next meal," Kaden laughs at me.
"I-I.." I look up at his expectant face waiting for my excuse.
"I was staring because you're so cute!" I laugh.
Kaden gives me a confused look, scrunching his eyebrows together.
"Bambi.. I am not even close to 'cute'," he says placing his pizza down as I stand up and start backing away.
"I told you this wasn't over, remember?" Kaden says stalking up to me.
"Ha-ha.."
"I'm not joking Bambi."
Kaden dashes towards me as I rush to get upstairs, damn-it.
Step by step, I can feel Kaden catching up to me, "Admit your defeat now Bambi!"
"Never!" I laugh, finally reaching Kade's bedroom door and slamming it shut on his face.
"Let me in Bambi!" Kaden yells banging on the door, "You do know I have a key right?" He laughs maliciously.
I back away from the door as I hear a jingle from the other side, shit. I need to find a place to hide..
Nothing in his room seems suitable enough to hide in though.. I guess behind his book shelf is good enough.
Waiting for Kadens arrival I crouch down behind his bookshelf until I feel a hard box hit my foot.
"Huh?"
I look down to see a box with a thin layer of dust covering the top, written on the top was numbers which looked to be a date, 12-19-13. Almost two years ago..
Contemplating if I should open the box or not, I hear banging come from outside the door.
"Willa! The keys not working can you open the door, I wont attack you I swear!" Should I open the door? I still want to see whats inside the box... Curiosity got the best of me and I slowly open the top of the dusty box.
Pictures. That's all I see. The first picture looks to be of a woman in her mid to late twenties. She has Brown hair and eyes almost identical to Kaden, must be his mother. I've never seen her up close but from a distance she looks nothing like she does in the photo.
Whenever I wave to her from my house she looks to have blondish brown hair with brown eyes, not the hazel green eyes I am seeing in this photo.
It must be the lighting.
The next photo I pull out makes my heart stop. It's of a girl with moss green eyes and brown hair looking to be of spanish decent and in her early teens, breathtakingly beautiful. The thing that makes my heart stop is Kadens happy smile and arm slung around her shoulder holding her closely to him.
I know I shouldn't be making assumptions but it looks like.. It looks like he's in love.
Could this possibly be Kadens first love? I don't want to assume anything so I put the photo in my pocket closing the box as I hear the door open.
"Ha-ha Bambi, you thought I didn't have a spare key for my own room!" I shuffle behind the book shelf not really caring if he found me, I just want to know who this girl is.
