Ch.14

"Willa where's Kaden?"

I hear my mom ask me as I'm watching TV, "I'm not sure mom."

I know that if I tell her he's not coming than she'll be pissed at me. It's thursday afternoon, the day after my date with Blaze.

School was shit, Bella got the flu and Finn was ignoring me, I thought she would have already apologized to me but I guess not. I mean it is my fault but really she always gets involved in my business, I'm sick of it.

Thankfully Blaze was by my side the whole day, at least we're still friends even after what he said last night. Maddox also was cracking jokes and cheering me up, you gotta love maddox.

Kaden was at school and he looked like he wanted to say something every time I saw him but I just walked away. This is our cycle; we would fight, he would say sorry, then we would fight again.

"Mom Kaden's not-" I'm cut off by the doorbell.

"Hold that thought Willow," my mom says walking to the door.

I hear her open it and I'm too engrossed in my TV show to see who it is.

I hear a bag drop near the couch and I turn around, "Willa look who it is!"

What the fück cant he just leave me alone?

"Hi Kaden," I grumble looking up at him.

"Okay guys I have to get going! Pizza moneys near the fridge and Zeke's at daycare till 6 today," my mom says grabbing her bags and coming up to me.

"Please be good Willa," my mom whispers kissing my cheek.

I roll my eyes and nod, she says goodbye to Kaden and walks out with her bags. Great, while my mom's partying in god knows where, I'm stuck with the guy I hate/love.

I get off the couch and start to ascend the stairs, but of course Kaden grabs my hand.

"What do you want Kaden? Shouldn't you be with Whitney right now?" I say as I turn around.

"Willa I can't keep doing this to you," he says.

"Well I mean you kinda are doing whatever you think you are doing right now by coming over to my house," did that make sense? Sure.

"Willa I'm a shit excuse for a person. I'm a jerk-wad or whatever you call me and I can't help it, it's in my nature," he said looking down.

"Willa you think I'm this confident macho man but I'm not, you're right I am a wuss."

"Kaden..."

"Willa I'm an idiot.. I might be ruining your life by stringing you along and I'm sorry for that."

"I have a fear of people knowing my past but Willa please if you stay with me I will open up," he said looking up.

"Kaden you said that last time," I whispered to him.

"I promise this time though! I swear by it, please Willa.."

I nod, feeling my lower lip tremble, "Kaden please promise me this,"

"Anything Willa," he said looking up, still holding my hand.

"Promise me you won't leave," I said as he turned around taking my hand with him to sit down.

"Willa..."

"Just say you promise please, 'It's better a broken promise than none at all," I tell him leaning on his shoulder.

"Mark Twain.. Okay Willa I promise," he said turning me to face him.

He wraps his arm around me and I hug him back, "What are we?" Kaden suddenly asks, weirdly his eyes are sort of red.
