#7 Suicide

Plot: Hiccup suicided without Merida knowing, until...

Merida

It's been weeks since my bestfriend Hiccup didn't go to school, since Astrid, his girlfriend cheated on him, by dating her secret lover Eret.

I've been trying to comfort him that time, but he said that he just want to be alone, so I did. I tried to call him or text him, but he's not answering or replying back.

Okay, that's it! I'm going to his house after school.

**dismissal**

"Merida! Wait!" I heard someone shouted from distance behind me.

I stopped running and turned around, seeing Rapunzel running with Jack following him.

"What's wrong, guys?" I asked.

"We're about to ask you that." Jack said.

"Nothing... Aye just need to go to Hic's house." I told them.

"We're coming with you, Merida." Rapunzel stated.

I nodded and continued running with them following me.

**later in front of Hiccup's house**

I pressed the doorbell, but no one opened the door. So instead, I opened the door by myself and the two followed me inside.

**in his house**

His house seemed unusual. Its lights are closed and it's quiet.

"Mrs. Haddock? It's me, Merida, yer son's bestfriend. Is Hiccup there?" I asked, as my Scottish voice echoed around the house.

"I think no one's here." Jack whispered.

"Let's go upstairs." Rapunzel said and I nodded and we all climbed up to the second floor, where Hiccup's room is located.

**in the second floor**

I slowly twisted the door knob and open the door carefully. We saw something shocking...

A blade... a bottle of random capsules...

"He... he... he suicided..." I yelped.

"But where is he? He supposed to be here, though." Jack asked.

"Hospital..." A word blurted out of Rapunzel's mouth.

"Let's go!" I told them and ran out the house with them.

**later in hospital**

We made it, completely exhausted. I reached the counter. "Miss, we would like to... visit our friend..." I told the girl in the counter between pants.

"Oh, okay. What's your friend's name?" The woman asked.

"Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III." Rapunzel answered for me.

"Oh, uh, Mr. Haddock is in the 2nd floor at the room 250." She told us.

"Thanks. Let's go!" Jack thanked and we ran through the stairs.

**later in the second room**

We already saw the room where Hiccup is in.

I slowly opened the door and a sob of a woman entered my ear. Mrs. Haddock. Hiccup's mum is crying.

We three entered and seeing Hiccup unconscious on the hospital bed broke my heart.

Mrs. Haddock noticed us. "Hi, Merida. Jack. Rapunzel. Thanks for coming." She said with a sad smile.

"Yer welcome Mrs. Haddock." I answered, sitting down the seat beside his bed.

"Please, call me Valka." She stated and stared back at her only son.

**ackward silence**

"So... Valka, when did this happened?" Rapunzel asked.

"Well, Hiccup's been locking himself in his room since Astrid cheated on him. and one day, I noticed that I can't hear any more mourning, so I opened to peek... and there. I saw him unconscious." Valka told us.

Tears began forming down my eyes and sobbed to my hands.

**8:30pm**

Valka left the hospital and go to their house to sleep, leaving me, Jack, and Rapunzel in Room 250.

"Uh, Mer, me and Jack had to go now. Wanna come with us?" Rap asked ackwardly.

"You go ahead, Ah'll stay here." I muttered.

"Are you sure, because--" Jack asked but I meddled.

"YES! AH'LL STAY HERE AS LONG AS AYE CAN! AH'LL WAIT FOR HIM TO WAKE UP!!! HE DI'NT EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH AYE LOVE AND CARE FOR HIM!!" I yelled, and tears began to fall down, making their eyes widen in shock and stunned.

"You... love him?" Rapunzel asked, stifling a squeal. I nodded and stared back at my pale unconscious bestfriend.

"Okay, me and Rapunzel are gonna leave. Hope Hiccup will wake up. Bye!" Jack said and left with Rapunzel, leaving me and Hiccup alone.

"Please wake up." I whispered at his ear. "Aye love ye..."

"You love me?" I suddenly heard him spoke out faintly. I widened my eyes and stared at him, but his eyes are still closed.

"Yer awake!" I shouted and hugged him. "And yes! Aye love ye!"

And with that, I kissed him right through the lips without even thinking. I can feel him kissing back. Then we let go.

"Promise me ye won't do that again. Ye scared meh half to death, ye know?" I told him.

"I promise." He stated weakly.

"Aye love ye so much, Aye can't let ye go." I said and kissed his forehead. Then I heard 4 magical word that will truly change anything.

"I love you too..."
