Plot: Hiccup is jealous of Peter.

Hiccup

Today's our school Junior-Senior promenade. I sat down the nearby chair, watching my classmates and the other students dancing with each other.

I watched how Merida dance with Peter at the dance floor, enjoying each other's company.

I felt envy on Peter, because he's good at dancing. But I, on the other hand, can't even dance. I stared at them sadly and sighed heavily.

"Hiccup..." I heard someone called from behind.

I turned around. "Oh, uh, Astrid..." I said.

"Wanna dance with me?" She asked.

"No, sorry. I'm not in the mood to dance." I mumbled, but she heard it.

"Oh, okay." She said and left. I sighed and stared back at Merida and Peter dancing.

Why can't I ask Merida for a dance like Peter does? Why can't I dance with Merida? Why can't I... be like Peter? Everything seems a piece of cake for him.

If only I attended the dance practice than spending my life in front of the books. But it's my choice, and now, this is my consequence.

And I think Merida likes him already, because she's already happy at her condition.

I stood up and left the gym. Yes, the prom is happening here in our school gym.

**in the rooftop**

I leaned against the rooftop long barrier and watched the stars above and the buildings that has hundred windows with it.

"Hiccup!" I heard an angelic Scottish voice.

I turned around. "Uh... Merida... why are you here?" I asked her, trying to be cool.

"Well... Aye saw ye walking away from the gym, and Aye followed ye." She answered.

**ackward silence**

"You don't need to. Go back there." I told her sternly.

She furrowed her eyebrows. "Are ye alright?" She asked me.

I can't take it anymore! "No! Because I know that you like dancing with Peter!" I blurted out.

A smirk grew on her face. "Ye jealous?" She asked me.

I blushed. "N-no..." I stuttered. "Fine... Iam." I suddenly gave in, putting my hands up in defense.

"Why?" She asked me, and her smirk disappeared.

"Because Peter is a great dancer, and I think dancing with him is the happiest moment of your life. Sorry, Mer. But I'm not like him." I told her, and sighed.

She went closer to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Listen here, Aye don't care how groovy at dancing he is. Aye like ye for who ye are, Hiccup, and don't be jealous, because jealousy don't help ye And that's not the happiest moment of mah life." She told me.

"And what is it?" I asked her innocently.

Her hands from the back of my head suddenly pulled me against her, making our lips collide. I was shocked at first, but closed my eyes and started to kiss back.

My hands find its way to her cheeks, deepening the kiss.

After we let go, Mer giggled. "What?" I asked her.

"That's the happiest moment in mah life. Kissing ye under the stars." She answered, smiling.

I smiled back. "And hey. Don't be jealous at Peter. He already had a girlfriend, and that's Wendy... or Alice... Aye really dunno. He's kind of a two-timer, though." She told me.

"But why did you danced with him?" I asked her.

"Aye have no idea. Yer not standing on yer chair a while ago. Aye was about to ask ye, but Aye thought yer bored, so yah..." she explained.

"Let's go back to the gym." I told her.

She nodded. "Kay, but yer mah dance partner." She told me.

I smiled again and held her hand and intertwined each other while we go back to the gym to dance. And she had a point...

Jealousy won't help me...
