Plot: Hiccup and Merida's family are celebrating the Christmas together.

Hiccup
"Mom, why do I have to wear this!?" I groaned while mom is fixing my necktie. Today's Christmas day.
"Because our family will go to DunBroch's place, and you need to dress up formal." She answered.
I widened my eyes. "We're going to... Merida's place!?" I asked, shocked.
Merida has been my big time crush, but I don't think she knows about it.
"Yeah. Your dad and her dad are really close friends, so we'll celebrate our Christmas with them." She answered.
I felt nervous, and mom noticed it. "What's wrong, son?" She asked, concern.
"Well... I was just... nervous, because... maybe I feel leftout when I get there..." I answered nervously, fidgetting with my fingers.
"Don't worry, Hiccup. You can talk to Fergus' daughter, since she's nearly same as your age." She told me, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Great... Thor hates me so much..." I muttered at myself.
Mom lowered her head, and looked at me. "Hiccup, is there something I didn't know?" She asked me.
"N-no." I lied, and lowered my head.
"Son, I know you're lying. Tell me." She insisted.
I sighed and held the bridge of my nose. "Fine. You see... Fergus' daught-- I mean, Merida is a beautiful lass. I've been having a crush on her since, I don't know... forever?" I told her, fidgetting with my fingers.
"So...?" Mom asked.
"So I don't know if I could talk to her formally, since I gained feelings for her already." I finished, blushing.
"You can do it son. You know, your dad felt that way when he tried to talk to me since we're in Senior class--" She flashbacked, but I cutted her off.
"What's your point, mom?" I asked her, letting go of my nose bridge.
"Well... having mistakes isn't the end of the world already. So before you get nervous, you must try to talk to her once. and if you're in love with her, confess to her, before some other guy will snoop in and steal her from you." She pointed out.
"That's kinda disturbing, but thanks." I thanked, trying to smile.
"Okay. Let's go now." She said, standing upfrom the edge of my bed, since she's sitting there the whole time.
I nodded and we left the house.
**fast forward**
Dad rang the doorbell. We're currently in their porch.
"Okay, who's the knocke-- Oh..." We both heard the girl asked while opening the door and blushed in embarrassment when she saw us. Merida.
She's wearing her signature blue green sweater, white tank top underneath it, and black leggings.
**ackward silence**
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Haddock. Come in." She greeted with her Scottish accent and opened the door wider. Great, she didn't noticed me. Just great.
I shoved my hands in my pocket and went in with my parents. I wandered around and the house looks nice and welcoming.
Mom turned to me. "Oh, Hiccup, you and Merida must meet each other more, you know." She told me.
I was about to speak, but Merida spoke up first. "Great. Let's go, Hiccup." She said and held my wrist and ran.
I didn't do anything but to follow where she's going, since she's grappling my wrist. To be honest, I'm blushing the whole run.
**after the run**
She opened a door to her bedroom. Wait... how should I know?
**in her bedroom**
She closed the door behind her and let go of my wrist. She's already shaking, but still trying to straight his posture and looks like she's faking a wide smile.
"You know, you can stop acting like that. I won't judge." I told her.
She sighed heavily and plopped herself down on her bed. "Ughh... thank goodness... ye know Ahm not that kinda sophisticated lass." She admitted.
"If you're not. You're more of a what?" I asked her.
"Ahm more of a wild childish bumpkin who loves archery." She said.
"Really!?" I asked, shocked.
"Really."
