Merida

Oh my gosh!!! Tomorrow is my boyfriend Hiccup's special day!

I remembered the time he gave me a gift in my Birthday last month, but today is his birthday and I can't even repay it!

My goodness, I'm the worst girlfriend ever! Okay, calm yourself Merida. I know you have more time to buy in a giftshop.

Plus, you have a money to buy a gift for him.

**outside**

I walked on the sidewalk, until I found the giftshop.

It's closed!?

I snapped my finger in failure, quietly cursing myself.

I guess I have to buy somewhere else.

**later**

Uuugh!!! It's already 7pm, and all of the giftshops are closed. I guess I have to go back home, then.

**later... in my room**

I sighed and plopped down on my bed. Gawd, I'm the worst girlfriend ever!!! I can't even buy him a gift from the giftshop.

I was about to close my eyes, when a pile of newspapers caught my attention. I know what to give him!

**tomorrow morning**

Hiccup

I woke up and just realized that today is my birthday. I was about to get up, until I felt something heavy on my left body area.

I looked down and a bunch of red locks are lying there. Wait... Merida?

She groaned and woke up, seeing me awake. "Oh, good morning, dragon." She greeted.

"Good morning, arrow." I responded as she stood up. Yes, we named each others "arrow" and "dragon".

I stood up on my feet and start doing my morning routines.

**after doing the routines**

"Hiccup! Go downstairs!" I heard Merida shouting from downstairs.

"Coming. Coming." I said, going down the stairs.

**in the kitchen**

I saw Merida wearing an apron and holding a spatula. Gawd, she's cute in the apron.

"Hey dragon." She greeted, flipping the pancakes with her spatula.

I sat down and yawned. "Morning arrow." I responded.

"Why so giddy today?" I asked her.

"It's yer birthday, duh!" She answered, turning off the stove.

"Oh, okay." I muttered and sat down on the chair and put my elbows on the table.

**later**

I smelled a fresh essence of breakfast.

She put down my breakfast on the floor. I widened my eyes when I realized that it's bacon, egg, and pancakes with syrup.

"Is that... for me?" I asked, staring at the food.

She hummed as yes. "Definitely, for the birthday boy." She said and I smirked.

"Thanks, arrow." I told her and she nodded and we ate our breakfast. She made another pancake for herself, though.

**later**

"Hey dragon, since today's yer birthday, where do ye wanna go?" She suddenly asked me.

I rubbed my nape. "I dunno..." I muttered.

"How about movie?" She asked me.

"But arro--" I was about to tell her that we both don't have a ticket, until she showed me two tickets. "Nevermind." I muttered with a smirk.

**after the movie**

"Dragon..." She started while we're walking at the park with each other.

I turned my eyes on her. "Yeah?" I asked.

"Happy Birthday, Hiccup. Ye know, ah've been wanting to give ye something." She said.

I turned curious. "What is it?" I asked again.

She opened her clasped hands and I saw a necklace with silver chain and black dragon pendant.

I stared at it. "How did you..." I can't finish what I'm gonna say, because I'm completely speechless.

"The dragon pendant is papermache, since the real pendant's way too expensive. Aye just made it so hard--" She said, but stopped when she dropped the necklace.

It falls off the hard floor and the pendant broke. "NO!" She shouted as she knelt down.

I crouched down as I realized that she's crying. She held it and gave it to me. I looked at it, and back at Merida.

"Ahm so sorry, Hiccup. Aye ruined mah gift for ya..." she sobbed.

I sighed and hugged her. I just let her face dig unto my chest.

"Don't cry, Mer. This birthday had been so fun, because you're here with me. It's not your fault, you even made me a delicious breakfast a while ago, the movie, and this pendant. This is my best birthday, because of you. Thank you, and I love you." I speeched a bit.

She looked up at me. "Aye love ye too." She responded as our lips touched.

This is my best birthday ever...
