Hiccup

I gasped again. She spoke up. That means... she's conscious.

"Merida!" I squeaked and sobbed, now holding her hand with my two hands.

"Don't cry, Hiccup." She told me numbly.

"I can't, Mer! You got in an accident because of me!" I said, between sobs.

"N-nuh. Don't blame yerself, Hic." She said with a quiet voice.

"What happened?" I asked her.

**flashback (This is Merida's PoV, okay?)

It's been a week since I left Hiccup. I felt mad and disappointed, yet guilty about it. I know he wants to explain something, and I didn't even bother to listen.

I'm currently in mum's house. Dad is probably still in Scottland.

"Merida..." I heard my mom's Scottish voice called.

I lifted my head, to see her holding a cup of her favorite tea. Green tea. "Mum..." I called back, with a blank expression.

"Ye've been like that since ye got here. What's wrong?" She asked.

"Mum, Hiccup and Aye broke up." I told her.

**ackward silence**

She widened her eyes and almost drop her cup of tea. Almost. "HUH!? HICCUP IS A GOOD GUY! WHY!?" She shouted, shocked at my statement a while ago.

"He cheated on me." I answered.

"How?" She asked again.

"I saw him and Astrid making out. On the bed. Under the covers, covering their naked bodies." I explained.

She sighed. "Merida. Aye like Hiccup than the other guys. Aye like him to be with ye. He deserves ye and ye deserves him. Aye already trust him, and aye think he just did that because of some... MISUNDERSTANDING." She said, quoting the "misunderstanding".

I just nodded kinda speechless about her trusting Hiccup.

"Now go there and let him explain why he did it." She said.

I smiled and hugged her. "Thanks, mum." Then, I left her house and rode in a bus.

** end of flashback**

"...then this happened." She finished with a numb voice.

I looked down in shame.

"Now Hiccup, please tell me why did ye do that... do ye still love Astrid?" She asked, teardrop from her eye fell into the pillow.

"N-no, Merida. I lost my feelings for her, and it didn't came back anymore. I just did that, because... she gave me two choices: Make out with her, or she will sabotage your reputation to the other people. But then, I chose to make out with her, to make your reputation safe against her." I explained.

"Ahm sorry, and thank ye, Hic." She stated, still weak.

"It's okay, please fight for your life." I told her.

Tears kept falling against the pillow where her head is lying down. She shook her head. "Aye... Aye can't, Hiccup..." She sobbed.

I widened my eyes. "Merida, please don't. I love you so much, and I can't lose you..." I sobbed too.

She smiled warmly, yet numb. "Aye love ye too, Hiccup..." and then, the heartbeat line turned straight.

Last drop of her teardrop fell down and she slowly closed her eyes. I gasped. "Merida? Merida!? No!! Please wake up!! I love you so much, and I can't let you go! Merida!" I sobbed out, shaking her with her shoulders.

I can't lose you...
