The Beast Within

Chapter 8

We learned that Christen and JJ are mates, they are also 300 years old. Hybrids don't age apparently, which caused Alex and I to become extremely worried about our future.

We also learned that there is a cure to basically take the vampire back out of me but its supposedly a painful process.

I'm currently laying in my room cuddling with Alex, my thoughts going 1000 miles an hour. 

Should I do the process of changing me back to just a wolf?

Should we do anything at all?

"What's on your mind babe?" My girlfriend asks me.

"What we should do about me." I sigh.

"You could just stay a hybrid." Alex states simply.

"That means I won't age, I think it would look kind of weird to people when you are 70 and I'm still 18 and we are kissing and holding hands." I chuckle slightly.

"True." She giggles.

"What if we turn me?" She asks after a few seconds of silence.

"Lex I am literally an irritable bloodthirsty monster half the time." I tell her.

"And what about the other half?" She looks at me curiously.

"I'm with you." I tell her smiling gently.

She returns the smile before she leans up and connects our lips in a soft kiss.

The day we go back to school is hell for me. I can hear everyone, every laugh, every whisper, every heartbeat. I can smell their blood and hear it pump through their veins.

I managed to make it through the entire day without letting myself get out of hand.

I'm sitting in my last class which I have with Carli when I guy walks passed my desk and knocks my textbook onto the ground.

"Watch it man." I mumble as I bend over to pick it up.

"What did you say to me?" He asks narrowing his eyes.

I sigh trying to control myself.

"Nothing. Drop it." I say.

"No I'm not going to drop it. What did you say to me you little bitch." He smirks.

I dig my nails into the sides of the desk as I tense.

The bell rings and everyone leaves but him and Carli who is watching the scene happen.

I try to walk past him but he grabs my arm and I growl my eyes changing as I turn and shove him back hard.

"Tobin." Carli says warningly.

He scrambles out of the room and I look over to see the teacher put her phone down.

She smiles sadly at Carli and I as I hear two people walk in behind us.

"I'm sorry girls, I really am." She says as they two men stab needles into our necks and empty the contents into our vein.

We both growl but soon everything fades to black and I drop to the floor.

Alex pov.

"Tobin, I'm really worried, please answer your phone." I hang up after leaving probably the hundredth voicemail.

No one has seen her or Carli for three hours and its not like her to just disappear. Kling, Moe, Ashlyn, and Christen are all out looking for them.
