Chapter Eleven

Audrey's POV

I took a deep breath and very, very slowly let it out. On the outside, I knew I looked calm and collected as I hummed a tune in the dressing room, looking over the outfits my wardrobe stylist, Dari, had picked out for the concert tonight. Blue jean shorts; a light blue, light pink, and dark pink plaid button-up shirt; possibly the cutest white flats I've ever seen in my life; and complete with that is a bit of bling to go with it.

Life is good.

I gave a small smile at Dari and grabbed my clothes from their hangers, walking behind the tiny curtain they gave me so I could change. Ah, yes; like I said, on the outside, I'm cool and collective.

On the inside, however, I felt my heart racing, my breath increasingly becoming faster and faster.. Ugh, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.. Blinking my hazel eyes, I stripped off my clothes down to my white lingerie and started dressing myself in the clothes that had been chosen for me.

All the while, I thought about what was going to happen. Right outside the backstage area I was currently in were almost ten thousand people, youngesters and directioners combined, who are expecting an amazing performance from us. In other words, out first real concert. And if I didn't have the girls with me, I would be sweating buckets.

Hearing the door open to my dressing room, I wondered who it could be. Must be one of the girls, I thought, buttoning up my plaid shirt and walking from behind the curtain. "You nervous for tonight?" I asked without looking up, focusing all my attention on the small task at hand. I could feel my hands shaking and could barely finish buttoning up everything.

"Not as much as you, maybe. But a bit." That wasn't a girl's voice.

Looking up, I saw the familiar face and almost jumped in surprise. It was Louis Tomlinson. I narrowed my eyes lightly at him, though he kept a calm expression on me. What the heck was he doing back here?!

"Why are you in my dressing room?" I asked in slight annoyance, quickly buttoning up the rest of my shirt.

Louis gave me a small smile. No mischevious look, no smirk. Just a friendly smile and a warm gaze. "I just came to wish you luck. I saw the other girls already and wished them luck; so I though it was only fair I'd do the same for you."

As much as this side of Louis annoyed me alot less, it was almost suspicious. Almost like he was going to do something with me. I guess he could see the look I was giving him and rolled his eyes. "Would you quit looking at me like that? I didn't plan any silly prank. All I came to do was wish you luck, okay?"

Suddenly feeling a bit of regret, I muttered a little, "Sorry." Clearing my throat, I felt my cheeks turn a bit red as I looked up at him. "Thank you. Good luck with you and the rest of the band as well." I shot him a little grin, cocking my head to the side as I looked him up and down quickly.

I watched as Lou nodded his head slowly and gave me a last smile. He took a step back while saying, "Well, I'll let you finish getting ready. Sorry to barge in."

"Don't worry about it," I replied, shaking my head as if it weren't such a big deal. As if I hadn't walked out with only half my shirt on..

Walking out, Louis paused at the door and turned to give me a wink. "Oh, and you skipped a button," he stated, his blue-green eyes flickering to the top button for only half a second and letting out a low chuckle.

I felt my cheeks heat up with plain embarassement as I heard the door shut.
