Aden's POV~
I shut my bedroom door behind me and slumped down on my bed against the wall just as my phone buzzed. "We'll probably be there right about noon so i'll head to the fries stand as fast as i can." Kelly had said. I smiled a little bit. Tomorrow was going to be both the best day of my life and quite possibly the most awkward, judging by my past experiences with girls. "Alright. ☺ I can't wait. If anything changes let me know." I replied, not wanting the poor girl to go too far out of her way to meet me, yet becoming more eager to see her in person by the second. "I'll try. I can't text without wifi due to not having a phone and i'd rather not have to explain to my mom and dad why i need to borrow theirs. 😂" Kelly texted back. I glanced up at the clock and saw that it was getting kind of late. "hey we can keep talking but i gtg for a bit." I said to her quickly then went and hopped into the shower. Going as fast as i could then changing into pajamas and crawling back onto my bed. When i went back on my phone i saw that Kelly had replied almost instantly. "Ok. take your time." She could be kind of passive aggressive. Then again, so could i. "Back." i texted her after getting comfortable. "We meet again." She replied within seconds. "Indeed we do." I replied just as quickly. "Hey can i ask a weird question?" Kelly asked. "Sure. ask away." i texted her. "Do you maybe want to facetime again? 😕" Her text made her sound nervous. which there was no need to be. She didn't know how much i liked her. "Sure." I replied. "Okay. ^~^ just warning you, i look like shit since i took my makeup off before my shower." She told me. I found myself rolling my eyes though nobody could see me. "I'm sure you'll look just fine. I'll call you." i replied and then clicked 'FaceTime' before Kelly had a chance to text back.
At first the screen was black, but then her beautiful, smiling face appeared in it. "Hi!" Kelly said and shifted her position to the same as earlier. "What's up?" I asked, also shifting so i lay on my stomach on a pillow facing the camera on my phone. "Literally nothing besides talking to you." She sighed and flicked a lock of hair up off her forehead. "same." i yawned. "Am i keeping you up too late?" Kelly asked, seconds after i yawned. "No, no. I can stay and talk for a little bit." I assured her. "Okay." The smile that crossed Kelly's face when I said I could still talk to her was quite possibly the cutest thing i've ever seen. "If you say so." She added. I smiled and laughed a little. "i do say so." I told her. There was a little bit of awkward silence afterwards. "Sorry, i'm boring." Kelly's quiet voice broke the silence. "No you're not!" i protested and pretended to pout. "Well," Kelly shrugged. Clearly trying to not look sad and hide her low self esteem. "i'm glad you think so." She said. I felt so bad for her, and couldn't wait for our meet up tomorrow so i could ask her to be my girlfriend. Maybe i would even kiss her. No. that would be moving too fast. "Do your parents know you're meeting up with me tomorrow?" I asked after quite some struggle as to finding something to talk about. "Well, i'll tell them i'm meeting up with an internet friend. Hopefully that will be specifics enough for them. If they knew i was meeting up with a boy i think i have feelings for, i'd never hear the end of it." Hopefully she could not see how hard i was blushing. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea." I said, trying to suppress my idiotic grin. "I'm really excited." Kelly giggled. (which, by the way, is insanely cute.) "Me too." i said and smiled. "Hopefully i won't make anything awkward." Kelly laughed and glanced at something off screen. "You'll be fine. i promise." I tried my best to reassure her. "Whatever." She giggled again and looked back at the camera of her iPod. Upon looking at my clock i realized my bedtime was fast approaching and i would soon need to get off FaceTime. "Hey, i'm really sorry... but i have to go now." I said. Kelly's smile faded but she managed to bring it back. "Okay." She said quietly and nodded. "Are you sure that's okay?" I felt bad. like i was letting her down. "Its fine." She said quickly. Smiling bigger to try and make it more believable. "I don't want to keep you up too late and have it be my fault if your tired tomorrow." Kelly added. I nodded slowly. "okay. well, goodnight. Text me when you're leaving for the festival." I said. Kelly nodded. "alright. goodnight." She said before hanging up the call. After plugging my phone in i lay on my back burrowed under my blankets, staring at the ceiling. "Is this really happening?" I wondered aloud. Was i going to meet my first wish client? More importantly, was i going to have the guts to ask her out, thus granting her wish? I hoped so. She was such a beautiful girl. With such a sad soul. Hopefully i would be able to help her see her true worth.
I soon drifted off to sleep with thoughts of Kelly crowding my head...
