The Lantern Corps have been around since the universe began. A lot of superheros are in the corporations. Batman and Superman are in the Death Corps together. The Lantern Corps consist of Rage, Fear, Will Power, Love, Compassion, Hope, Death, Life and Greed. The Lantern Corps now head all around the universe to find new recruits for each of their respectful corporation.
