The Second Wave

Toby arrived at the house and sat down on the couch. He was tired from fighting on Mars. Julio came in and was surprised to see Toby on the couch.

"Toby," Julio said, "Where were you?"

"I was kidnapped and taken to Mars by some chick named Vortex," Toby said, "She can create vortexes and travel through them."

"That's not good," Julio said.

Naudia and Jasmine came in from the backyard.

"Toby!" Naudia said happily.

She jumped onto the couch and threw her arms around him. Toby looked at her and smiled.

The front door unlocked and Stephanie walked in with Rodrigo right behind. He closed the door and looked at the group.

"Oh hey Toby," he said, "Welcome back."

"So you and Rodrigo both disappear and then come back," Jasmine said, "Rodrigo went to some planet in another solar system. Toby ended up on Mars."

"I think you guys are being picked off one by one," Stephanie said, "which means either Julio or Luis is next."

"Why only us?" Toby asked.

"The Green Lantern said that us four were the most important pieces to bringing down the aliens," Julio said.

"Gosilove told me during the fight that she was trying to get rid of me," Rodrigo said, "she tried auctioning me off but failed so she tried killing me. They're trying to get rid of us because we're the only thing blocking their path of victory."

"So we don't know who is going to be kidnapped next?," asked Naudia.

"Theyve given up on Rodrigo and Toby," Jasmine said, "So it's either Julio or Luis."

Jasmine looked over at Julio.

"Don't worry," Julio said, "I could handle anything they try to throw at me, so don't get to sad."

Julio hugged Jasmine and they turned the TV on to the news.

"Breaking news!" the reporter said, "London, England is being attack by the same creatures that attacked Miami, Florida. The military is already trying to hold them back."

"Let's go boys," Rodrigo said.

They put on their rings and ran out the door.

When they arrived, they saw Luis already fighting the aliens. He was taking down groups using a black sword made from his ring.

The three landed behind the police tape and looked at the scene. The area that was blocked off was very large. Julio and Toby ran passed the police tape.

"Hey!" said a guard, "You can't go in there!"

"Relax," Rodrigo said, "We're here to stop them."

The guard let Rodrigo go pass the police tape.

"Keep the people at a distance of at least fifty feet," Rodrigo said, "This could get ugly and I don't want any civilians hurt in the process."

He ran into battle. Toby and Luis were taking care of the aliens trying to advance by foot while Julio was trying to take down the ships. He joined Julio and they took down two of the three ships.

The third ship fired a beam and it hit Julio. He was sent flying into Big Ben. It fired another one and Rodrigo rammed into the London Eye. The Eye came loose and fell off its stand.

"Julio!" Rodrigo said, "The London Eye! Let's use it!"

The two picked it up with giant colored hands and threw it towards the ship. It flew towards the ship and was about to hit it. Suddenly a vortex appeared and it flew into it. Another vortex opened and it appeared in the water.

"Oh so close," said a guard.

"Missed me blondie?" someone yelled out.

"Vortex," Toby said.

Rodrigo and Julio flew towards Luis and Toby.

"We'll take care of the ship. You take care of Vortex," Julio said.
