Star Sapphires

The car stopped in front of a house in the suburbs of Detroit. The man got out and grabbed something from the back seat. He walked towards the front door and knocked on it. The door opened and another man was standing there, watching him.

"Pizza's here!" yelled the man, "How much?"

"Twenty-seven fifty," said the pizza delivery man.

"Cool. Here is thirty dollars. Keep the change."

"Thanks. Here is your two large..." the pizza delivery man looked at the receipt, "Thirty meat pizza?!"

"Yup," said the man, "That's a legendary pizza. It has pepperoni, bacon, Canadian bacon, barbeque chicken,  little chunks of steak, al pastor, tripas (Spanish for intestines), chicken nugget pieces, ground beef, sausa..."

"OK! I get it. There is a lot of meat in this very cool and unusual pizza," said the pizza delivery guy, "But how? "

"The owner of Lui's Pizza Parlor had been my friend since high school," he said, "He said I could order any type of pizza and he will make it himself while the rest of his employees work on the other orders."

"Awesome," said the pizza delivery guy, "Well I got to go. Got more pies to deliver."

The delivery guy walked towards the car.

"Be sure to tell Lui that Rodrigo said hey," he said.

Rodrigo walked into the house and put for pizza on the kitchen table.

"Guys!" he yelled out, "Come on!"

"Hang on!" one of them yelled back, "Julio is about to beat the level!"

Rodrigo pulled out five plates and grabbed four slices of pizza.

He took four plates into the living room and put them on the coffee table.

"When is Toby going to get here? " asked a girl.

"I don't know Naudia," Rodrigo said, "but he should be here any..."

"You'll never guess what just happened to me today," Toby said.

"What happened?" asked Naudia.

"Well I got into some trouble," Toby said.

"The Akar Gang again," Julio said.

"Yeah," Toby answers, "They chased me onto the roofs of the city. I thought I ditched them but they found me and shot at me. They killed an innocent man but I showed them the power of the Rage Mage."

"The Rage Mage?" asked Rodrigo, "I didn't know you were a wizard. Better catch the train to Hogwarts cause it will be leaving soon."

"Shut up," Toby said, "He also gave me this ring that gave me the power to defeat the Akar Gang."

Toby pulled out the red ring from his pocket.

"It looks so cool!" Naudia said.

"You think that's cool?" Toby said, "Check this out."

He put on the ring and the red suit appeared on his body. He flew towards the couch.

"I can fly and think of anything and it will materialize in front of me."

Toby thought about a pistol and a red pistol materialized in front of him.

"Whoa," they all said in unison.

Their dogs started barking at the back door.

"Don't worry," Rodrigo said, "I'll let them out."

He want to the back door and let the dogs out into the backyard. The ran around happily. Then they stopped and growled at the roof. Rodrigo walked into the yard and looked at the roof. A woman dressed in a purple suit was sitting there looking down.

"Do not worry," she said, "I mean no harm. I am Galena, a recruiter for the Star Saphires."

"What is that?"

"It is one of the Lantern Corps. Here, you will need this ring," Galena said.

Galena threw a purple ring towards him.

"Welcome to the Star Sapphires Rodrigo," Galena said.

She then disappeared from the roof. One of the girls came outside.

"What happened babe? " she asked.

"I just got a ring Stephanie," Rodrigo replied, "It's kinda like Toby's."
