A Trickey Escape

"Sir, we have captured one of the Lantern members. It is one of the four trying to bring the Corps together."

"Which one of the four?"

"It is Rodrigo, sir. He is in the prison section. We also have his ring."

"What is he doing in the prison section?"

"He is probably trying to show how tough he is to the other prisoners. Rodrigo is probably fight Hashton, the four armed alien. He is the biggest one in the prison."

Hashton was sitting up against a wall with a hand on his head.

"Oh wow," he said, "There is so much power in that tiny body."

Rodrigo walked up to him.

"So are we done here?" he asked.

"Not yet human," Hashton said.

He threw a punch with his lower left arm and sent Rodrigo across the quad. He hit the other wall with a thud.

Rodrigo looked up but everything was very blurry. His ears felt as if they were plugged. He could see a large blue figure running towards him. The figure's footsteps were muffled as he got closer to Rodrigo.

The wall that Rodrigo was sitting up against was destroyed by Hashton's tackle. Rodrigo ended up rolling to the side to avoid the attack.

"Hey," someone said, "Hashton broke the wall!"

"Riot!"

The group gathered in the quad ran straight for the opening and started to spread throughout the ship. After everyone left, Hashton came back in to the prison. He looked at Rodrigo and picked him up.

"We will finish this next time human," he told Rodrigo.

Hashton dropped Rodrigo and walked out the of the prison quad. Rodrigo got up and walked around the prison. He found his cell and saw an alien lying in the bottom bed. The alien had one large bottom tooth on the right and half of a large tooth on his left.

"You know that everyone else has left the prison," Rodrigo said.

"I know," the alien said, "I just don't want to get in trouble and end up being tortured."

"Good idea," Rodrigo said.

As he walked past him he saw that his back was completely scarred with a few large gashes. They weren't but they looked like only a couple of weeks old.

As he walked farther down he heard two female voices.

"Do you think they're ever going to come for us?" one of the voices said.

"They're probably doing the best they can at the moment," the other said, "They still have to stop any attacks from the aliens."

"Well I feel like they forgot about us!" one yelled out.

"Shhhh! You'll wake up Stephanie!" the other said in a harsh whisper.

Rodrigo walked up to the cell and grabbed the bars.

"Who forgot about you?" he said.

The two girls looked over and saw a familiar face looking at them.

"Rodrigo!" They both said happily.

They opened the cell door which was unlocked so they could go out to the quad. Rodrigo walked it hugged Naudia and Jasmine.

"Where's Stephanie?" he asked.

"She is sleeping," Jasmine said pointing to the top bunk.

Rodrigo kissed her cheek and explained his plan to the other two.

"So I'm going to a hole in the ship and you three will be in a bubble that will protect you from anything and we will fly back to Earth," he said.

"How are you going to do that?" asked Naudia, "Didn't they take away your ring?"

He reached into his right pocket and pulled out the ring.

"I gave them a fake," he said.

"Give me the ring."

An alien gave it's leader the ring that was taken from Rodrigo.

"This is just the beginning of end."

Their leader put on the ring and nothing happened. He then removed it and examined it.

"How easy was it to capture Rodrigo?"

"He came along willingly."

He crushed the ring.

"Its a fake ring! His plan was to come aboard the ship and do something."

The leader thought for a moment.

"The girls Ironfist took! Rodrigo came to rescue them!"

A chunk of the wall flew off into space. Rodrigo then pushed the purple ball into space. He shot a beam at it so he could keep the ball from drifting off in space. Inside the ball were Naudia, Stephanie and Jasmine. Stephanie was still asleep while the other two were slowly closing their eyes.

Mission accomplished, Rodrigo thought to himself.
