Today was one of those days where all my family gathered for dinner...including my sister and her husband were coming. I woke up early to do some homework, clean my room, wash some clothes, and help my mother. Meanwhile, Edward left with my father to work, while Jaelyn stayed and watched television. Then I got a text:

Kennedy: Hey! Want to go and watch a movie today?

Me: I can't, sorry.

Kennedy: Why!? I want to get out of the Imperial House, and Bryan's working.

Me: Why will Bryan work? His grandparents give him everything, and his credit card doesn't have a limit!

Kennedy: Well I don't know... He just decided to start working, because he doesn't want anything from the people that don't care about him.

Me: Then call Miguel.

Kennedy: You know he works on weekends, all day today and half tomorrow.

Me: I'm really sorry, maybe you can come by to my house... I just can't leave.

Kennedy: Do you guys have a family meeting?

Me: Do you read minds now, too?

Kennedy: Haha, no ! I'll go to your place later then.

I wasn't going to reply, but then I did.

Me: You should bring Lily.

I was mopping when my phone started ringing.

"Oh come on!" I yelled. Then I calmed down when I saw who it was "Hello," I said.

"Hey!" He said. Silence fell. It was Miguel.
"I just wanted to tell you... Well... It's just... I don't know..." he said. I stayed silence. "You know I'm your friend too, and you can count on me for anything, you can trust me. I just felt weird that you told Bryan first about your ability and not...me," he finally said.

"Why?" it was all I could manage to say.

"Because you usually always come to me. I feel like... I felt like we were closer, and ... I don't know it just felt weird," he said. His voice was low, sad, upset and I couldn't with that. We have been so close since we met, we connected immediately. But I hadn't told Bryan anything!

"I didn't tell him. Well I didn't mean to tell him first... He read my mind, really it was not that I don't trust you," I said.

"Are you being honest?" he said.

"Yes," I said. He took a deep breath.

"Fine. Well I need to get back in, those tacos won't get ready by themselves," he laughed."And Bryan isn't that good at this yet, so see you Monday. Bye."

"Bye," I said while laughing.

To be honest, this had been weird...very, very weird. Also confusing. Why did Miguel worry so much about this? It wasn't big of a deal was it? Suddenly, what felt like forever finally ended.

The night came and we were all  gathered in the dinning room. My mother started conversation. "Did you go to the doctor today?" She said.

"Yes! And guess what?"said Melanie. "I'm having twins! I don't know the sex yet, but there are two!"

"Oh darling, congratulations!"said our mother.
"Double happiness!" said our father.

"Wow..." was all Edward and I managed to say.

"Double trouble," I said after a while. "Good you are a 100% dedicated to being stuck in your house and being a housewife."

"I don't really like the way you said that," said Melanie. Everybody looked at me.
