Just like always, Kennedy and I were getting ready for class. Yesterday had been a wonderful day, it had been sunny, and I had received very good news. My nephews, Noah and Nelson, had been born healthy and strong.
Unfortunately, I couldn't meet them until later on, but I did receive their pictures. Edward was as joyful as me, or even more. Therefore, the week passed by very slow and only my father was going to visit this weekend. This was good and bad; I would probably tell him about the compulsion since I couldn't see Melanie, and hopefully he won't care much about it. I just hope he trusts us and he understands, and also doesn't give me a hard time because of it. Still, I had my doubts and didn't know if it was better relaying on my plan B. So, today was Saturday and I woke up a little late. Then I got ready to receive my father. Kennedy and I were walking down the stairs."So what's up with Miguel?" She asked.
"I don't know...I mean...it was just a kiss," I said nervously.
"Just that?" She said.
"Yup, just that. No more," I said.
Miguel and I had been very nervous to talk about it, and it looked like we just let it go by. Like it never happened. It was strange and weird, but probably it was for the best. This way we didn't get distracted and we focused on our tasks.
"You two are very dumb!" Yelled Kennedy. Good thing nobody was around, just some girls down in the dorms intersection.
"Why?" I said innocently.
"Because you both like each other, but none dares to admit it and tell the other!" She kept yelling. "You two love each other. He loves you too," She said this part gently.
I just took a deep breathe and tried to ignore her by putting my attention on the girls down stairs. Then I could see Edward going down the stairs on the other side, coming from his dorm. The girls downstairs were the suckers duo, Vanessa and Sandra. They're supposed to be three, but they were missing Leslie today. Suddenly, Vanessa heard us talking and turned around to see who was making all the noise.
Strangely, our eyes met for a brief moment, for the thousandth of a second. I fell backwards on one of the steps, and fell on by butt. Something inside my brain crashed, it knocked me down, I got an unbearable headache. Everything inside my head throbbed, and I felt my skull incredibly heavy. But that wasn't the anomalous thing, what came next was even more unexplainable. My vision of this world disappeared, then I saw nothing, just blank and finally I was transported to some unknown place. It all looked old and dusty, there was a huge bookshelf that covered an entire wall, it was full of thick dirty books falling a part. Then there was a desk, a black wooden ancient one, with a big leather recliner armchair. It was facing the books, giving the back to whoever was present there. I heard a door open, and two built up men appeared in the image, but I couldn't recognize them or see their faces.
"What news do you have for me?" Said a strong mad deep voice. The man sitting on the chair.
"My lord, we can't get to the academy. It has to much security, to much magic protecting those kids. There's no way we can get to his daughter, he has put her there under imperturbable protection," said one of the two man who entered.
"Hmm..." I heard the man in the chair said. He didn't turn around. "Well then we won't go after his dear daughter, we'll go after his dear wife. I bet she doesn't have her in hiding does he?"
"No my lord, she's at the Imperial House as always," said the other man.
"He thought he could outsmart us, by putting his fragile little girl behind the walls of the academy. Well he can keep her safe there, but her wife will be the one to pay the price," he creepily laughed. "He hasn't done what we ordered him to do, and now he'll pay for it."
