It was a calm Wednesday afternoon, I was in the backyard with Edward skating in our skateboards. The sun was going down and we were trying to distract ourselves while we waited for my father to arrive, since he didn't come to sleep last night. He said he had something that emerged related to his job, something important that he couldn't come home because he had to travel to only God knows where. Obviously, I needed to talk to him urgently after what I discovered about my visions, how Bryan couldn't hear them.
We heard a car sound at the front of the house, Edward and I both ran to receive our father. Unfortunately, we were disappointed when we were standing in the front garden. My mother kept if full of many different kinds of plants and variety of flowers, she loved gardening.

Instead of finding our father there we found Melanie. She was getting out of her car, caring her bag, looking like a model for the front page of a magazine. She was dressed formally, a white skirt with a dark gray button up shirt, and what was more shocking was seeing her wearing high heels! I haven't seen her in those since she knew she was pregnant, and I haven't seen her in that kind of clothes since she quieted her job and got married. She used to be a kind of women that always impressed others with her beauty and fashion style, but it kind of went away when she got engaged with Max.

"Are you getting divorced?" Said Edward as shocked at me.

"Where's dad?" She said. The way her voice sounded told me she was in a rush and was desperate.

"Hello!" I said. "Nice to see you, too, sister. I'm perfectly fine, we are perfectly fine thanks for asking."

Sarcasm.

"I'm sorry," she snapped, did she even mean it. "I need to see him quickly, is he in his study room?" By the time she said this we were already walking inside the house.

"He's not home yet," said Edward.

"What?" She said. "He should be..." She murmured.

"Kids what's all this noise?" Said my mother entering the living room, then she saw Melanie. "Oh my goodness! Darling you look great! I didn't know you were coming, is there something we should celebrate today?"

"No, no mother it's ...just that I wanted to look different that's all," said Melanie more calmed and relaxed.

She then left with my mother to the kitchen, Edward left to do some homework, and I was left with Jaelyn.

"Do you want to color with me?" She said.

"Sure," I said.

"Okay, let's go outside," she said.

We were outside in our backyard drawing and coloring the trees and roses my mother had here as well.

"When am I learning magic?" She suddenly said.

"Uh..." I didn't know how to answer. It was obvious she knows about wizards existence and that she realizes that she's part of one. "When you're old enough to go to Mageia."

"Cool, just a year and a half away," she said. "I want to be as good as you."

A warm feeling began to grow inside of me, I was proud to be a good example for my little sister, to know she admired me. I knew what that felt like because I admired Melanie, I just hope not to let Jaelyn down. It was incredible how she looked so fragile, so small, so innocent, and how she grew each day faster. A sudden memory came to me when she was just a baby. I loved my little sister so much, so did I love Edward, and Melanie, and my parents. My family, and my friends were always my priority, I would give my life for them if necessary.
