The next day was hell. The problem was trying to stay away from my friends, or at least from Bryan. Furthermore, I couldn't stop thinking about the things I discovered yesterday. Fortunately, I had a distraction but on the other side it wasn't a very pleasant one. But so far, it's the least worse thing that has happened lately.
When I got to the academy and Kennedy and I were heading to our locker, we saw our classmates wearing the same shirt and sweater. Finally, when I got to my locker I understood.
"They decided to give us all uniforms," said Kennedy when I opened my locker and she opened her's just beside mine.
Inside in a hanger was a black blazer with small golden letters MA on the left side, it was also accompanied by a white bottom up shirt and another black circle skirt. Then on the shelf were two white T-shirts that had the same letters MA on the left side, and I also found a black sweater that had the same letters.
"The formal uniform is just for special events and ceremonies, don't worry about using it soon. The T-shirts should be required to be used starting next week, or if you want to start now you also can. Since it is winter they gave us a sweater, too," she said while she saw me just staring inside my locker.
"Really? They have to do this?" I said. "They stopped using uniforms last century! Not even my father used one!"
"Well I don't know why they brought them back. They want us to look adequate," she closed her locker. She didn't change clothes which meant she wasn't going to wear the uniform t-shirt until next week.
"It's like we were in jail," I said closing mine too without changing.
"Look at the bright side, we won't have to use the blazer and the skirt every day. We can just use the T- shirt, even though I had preferred another color," she said.
"I'm fine with black. They had to keep up with neutral colors to look appropriate," I said.
"Yeah, I guess," she said.
We found Miguel and Bryan in the next hall. Just like us, they decided not to wear the uniform yet.
"I can't wait to see you in a skirt," Miguel teased me. I rarely used one or a dress, I always preferred jeans.
"Yeah, well you're going to wait a lot before I wear that thing," I said.
"You'll look good, like always. Don't worry," he said and smiled at me.
My morning classes passed very fast. In my third period I decided to ask and go to the restroom, I wasn't really paying attention anyways. When I was washing my hands someone entered and closed the door. I heard how they locked it with magic. Not again! I thought. Suddenly, she appeared behind me in the mirror.
"Did you know?" She said.
"Know what?" I said turning around and facing her.
"That they have us in observation," said Leslie.
"You mean, they have YOU in observation," I said confidently. "I don't think I did anything bad."
"Don't play it dumb with me. You defeated me, you knocked me to the ground, I didn't," she said offended.
"Are you sure you didn't? You did the exact same! Only that I was better," I said.
"It was just luck, Ozera," she took a few steps closer. "Don't feel so special."
"Sure," I laughed.
Then she threw me an air blast spell, and I hit the mirror. Fortunately, it didn't break. I did the same and she fell on her butt in one of the bathrooms. She stood up quickly, but she didn't throw any spells. But I was ready anyways, for whatever that happened.
