Chapter 2: General Philip
"Mom, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." I said, trying to convince my mom about what just happened while eating dinner.
Well, here's what happened. Let's take a flashback.
We were eating a family dinner when Prince Sean's little and naughty brother, Prince Gabe accidentally threw his chicken curry on my shoulder. To my dismay and well, I just wanted to have some fun in this boring dinner, I throw my pasta towards his face and it hit him. Well, actually his mother, Queen Jade.
Prince Gabe was having fun from the looks of it so he threw his pasta to me and hit my hair. Well, I'm enjoying myself so I threw my ice cream, which was supposed to be my oh-so-delicious-dessert and hit his face. My parents as well as Sean and Gabe's parents were trying to stop what we're doing but like the kids these days, we just didn't listen.
Instead, we continued the food fight. Eventually, Sean joined since he was hit by a pancake. The three of us just laugh and tried to defend ourselves from getting hit by food until our parents shouted and we both stopped. Sean's parents go home and decided about the engagement and eventually, didn't agree. Who in their right mind would agree after they got hit by food in the face by their supposed to be future daughter-in-law (not happening). Well, that sounds good for me and I'm happy, but my parents were not. Instead, they apologize and bring me in my room for a conference.
So here was I.
"Mom, I'm really sorry. I really didn't mean it." I said, trying to convince her. I tried to laugh because of her silly walking position.
Forward, backward, forward, backward. Same position.
She looks crazy.
"Sorry? After what you did?" She said raising her eyebrow and her voice. I look at my dad. Well he looked disappointed too.
Can't I just don't have fun? Why do I need to be perfect always. I don't even have an experience on the outside world. Now, they're here. Torturing me with all those stupid words, do that, do this.
Blah blah, whatever.
"Dear, you need to apologize." Dad said. I hesitate for a moment but he'll, who am I to talk back against him. He's my dad after all, and he's King Steven Curtis. He has a higher power than me.
I sigh. Maybe he's right, after all I started the food fight. I wanted to shrug it off but it would be better I'll just keep it in my memories. It gave me so much fun.
"Mom, dad, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it really. It's just.." I say and was cut off by my dad.
"It's okay sweetie. Just don't do it again," Dad said.
"Okay," I said with a smile. They stood up and walk to the door when mom peek out and says, "Oh well. Dear, General Philip will be here tomorrow." Mom said.
"Why?" I ask.
"Well, I don't know. Just find it out tomorrow. Okay?" She said.
"Okay, goodnight." I replied and they left my room.
❤️❤️❤️
Well, today is the day that General Philip will arrive.
I dress up myself in a blouse and tattered jeans.
Who cares what they think? I want to dress like a normal-17-year-old.
"Astrid, you ready?" Macey asks from the couch.
