Chapter 30: Mystery

"So, are you two on? Harry said you two were dating yesterday in the Ice Castle." For the fifth time, Liz keeps on asking me if me and Harry are together. I just continued walking and ignored all her stupid questions. What the heck is she thinking? I just told her yesterday that the two of us were already okay but she thought like we leveled up our relationship. She's ridiculous.

Besides, we just ate ice cream at the Ice Castle yesterday. What's the big deal?

"Astrid, why are you not saying something? Let me guess, you two are already together, aren't you?" Liz said and I can see she's teasing the hell of me. I can sense Harry's smirk as well. He's walking right beside me and I can really tell he's enjoying the show.

I paused for a moment and turned around to face her. I tighten my jaw for a while and said, "Liz, WE ARE NOT TOGETHER. I told you, we are just friends." She stares at me intently and I bet that made her realize and clear up everything.

"But I bet she wants to change our status update and level up our relationship," Harry muttered and smirks. He elbowed me in the arm and wink. I heard Liz squealed and I rolled my eyes. He's stupid.

I directly face him and said, "First of all, we don't have a relationship. Why do people don't realize that? And besides, we are just friends."

"Hmm, I always think you have a secret feelings to me," he replied again with a wink and his smirk.

I rolled my eyes again and walk away. This time, I heard Harry and Liz laughed. Clearly, they want me to get annoyed. I heard footsteps coming into my direction and the laughs faded. They wanted to catch up with me. If Liz is not my friend, I will really smack her.

"Hey, Astrid." I heard Macey called up and walked beside me. I turned to her and smiled. "So, I heard you and Harry are already together. Congrats," she greeted and gave me a smile with a wink as well.

I paused for a moment and turned to her, "Who told you? We're not together for Pete's sake! We're just friends since we reconcile everything up. That's all!"

"Oh," she replied and for a minute, she continued. "Liz said you two were together and I asked Harry for clarification and he said yes."

"What?! Geez, okay. Basically, we're friends again but we're not together." That's it. After I said that, I left her. Why did this all happen? Basically, I just told my friends that me and Harry were already friends but this devil, Harry told Liz that we moved our relationship into next level which is really impossible.

I had to admit, at first I get butterflies on my stomach but everything's too much and I just don't know how to react. Basically, I am going insane.

I went inside to my next class. I let out a huge relief. This is my only period where my gang is not with me.

Basically, my whole day was ruined. James and Blake kept on teasing me in the cafeteria. Liz and Macey kept on screaming and squealing about me and Harry being together. And Harry? That devil kept on riding with the tease of my other four friends.

"Hey, are you mad?" Harry jogged with me in the parking lot. He keeps on smirking the whole time that makes me angrier to him.

I turned to face him and showed him my real expression the whole day. Wrong move actually. He just give me his smugly look and smirk again. With no further a due, I walk out. I don't want to see his face right now. I can bare if he thinks we're on a relationship, but with my friends knowledge about it and they're teasing me the whole day, I just can't focus my objective goals in this day. It's driving me crazy!

"Hey," he chuckled and continued, "Where are you going? I wanna take you home today."

"For what? To really proved everyone that we are really together? Thanks for the offer but I'm not interested." I continued walking toward the exit of the parking lot.
