"They'd been kidnapped," I exclaim as our friends arrive at Harry's house. James and Blake knitted their eyebrows in confusion and Liz looks at me confusingly. Macey chewed her bottom lip -she knew this will happen.
"Excuse me?" Liz asked and raised her eyebrow.
"Harry's parents. They...they'd been kidnapped this afternoon," I replied. I took a glance on Harry who's sitting at the couch silently. He might be overthinking on what is happening right now.
"By who?" James asked this time. I sigh. I don't want to talk about it especially when Harry is here, listening on every details I will say. I hesitate, but they need to know what's going on to help us and do some action against Philip.
"Philip," I reply sharply.
"That damned bastard. How dare he stole my parents," Harry mumbles through gritted teeth and stands up, frustrated. Now he feel what I feel before. Things are getting serious. More people are getting involve in this situation and I don't want to make it worse. Silence is in the air for a while. Then, I made a decision.
"I'm going back to England," I say.
"No!" They all cried out.
I smile for their concern but this has to stop and I need some action. I don't want Harry's parents involve in this and so are my friends. I need to surrender Philip and do some bargain. Maybe release my parents and Harry's and I'll marry him -for the sake of everyone.
"I need to this. Everything is at risks," I reply. Everyone sighs. Now, everybody is frustrated. I think they wanted to help but we're out numbered and it's too dangerous. Besides, I don't want them to be part of my own problem. They don't need to do any of this.
They are all looking at each other and Harry is shooting me worried glances. Whatever are they planning, I will not accept it. Blake cleared his throat and says,"We're going to help you."
My eyes widen in disbelief. Actually, I thought they got to be kidding, but the way the look at me with plastered serious faces, they're not joking. I feel the lump on my throat. There freaking serious. It takes time for me to answer before I say no.
"Come on Astrid, it's time to do something. It's not only you're parents are at risk anymore, it's Harry's parents as well. That guy is a mess and we are taking him down." Liz says. I've never seen her so brave before. She might be on danger on doing this and I don't what the thought of it.
"Astrid, I know it sounds crazy but Liz is right. We need to do something," James says, shifting uncomfortably on the couch- sitting beside Harry. I look at their stern faces and then to Harry's eyes. He's determined as well. Then to Macey, she seems worried but we don't have a choice. We really need to do something.
"Guys, thank you for your concern but can we just call the police officers in there? Or let the U.S. Government help us?" I say, thinking this may help in keeping them safe. They all shrug, thinking this is ridiculous. James rolls his eyes and says, "England soldiers can't be even trusted. Plus, the government will think we're insane. How bad is that?"
"It's the worst," Liz mutters.
I sigh. I don't have any choice, they're really digging in. I look at them, being so determined than before. All my life, I've been running. Scared and tortured by nightmares and depression. I'm tired of disguising myself. It's time for some payback.
"Alright," I say. "Let's show this man what revenge is."
They all nod and gives me a reassuring smile. "But first, let's eat some dinner. I'm starving."
After we scramble and went to the kitchen, Macey was the one to cooked, Blake helping her. Liz and James are setting up the table. Our friends decided to help me think out some plan and Harry breath some fresh air.
