Things with Alice were going good. They weren't fighting, still being sexually active as much as possible. He had no reason other than the thrill of another girl to do what he did. That and the help of Allison who played match maker. Allison after having her baby started to not go out as much, this cause her to spend less time with Jaye and Alice and hang out with her friends who already had small kids. Her name was Megan. Megan had a boyfriend and a son who had been adopted at a young age. She also had another child by her current boyfriend, the child was no more than two years old. However the boyfriend was a complete jerk and used her as a punching bag not only with his fists but his words as well. She was damaged but that's what made her appealing to him. She wasn't ugly by any means. She was tall and skinny, 5'10-5'11 and had long reddish blonde hair. Allison had been talking to Z while Megan was around, of course joining him into the girl's conversation. Allison was playing match maker because she no longer liked Z with Alice and thought that him and Megan would make a better pair. They were closer in age and Megan only had one kid instead of four.

Megan and Z began to talk more outside of Allison. He still kept up with Alice of course. He was just making friends with Megan. She would talk to him at night and most of the day when she wasn't busy at work. Alice was growing suspicious due to the lack of sex drive in Zadan towards her. She confided in Jaye who asked Blake about it. Blake said he didn't know anything and he didn't.

Megan confided in Z that her relationship with her current boyfriend was a disaster but she couldn't leave him because he would fight her for the child, he had the money and the social status with his parents help. She was scared that if she would left he would get the child or worse, kill her. He had threatened her before about leaving him, this was after a fight and he had already laid her out and left her with a bloody nose. Bruises were always able to be covered by clothing so he would try his hardest not to hit her where people could see. She was beaten daily by his harsh words of hatred towards her.

Z stepped in, at first more of a concerned friend due to Sam's death being almost a year out the subject of a woman being beaten enraged him. "Why don't you just go one day when he's at work?"

"I've tried, he calls me back every time, saying he will change and it'll get better. His parents know what goes on but they don't care as long as it's not being done to their grandbaby."

Z could feel his face growing red, his blood pressure quickened. "Do you want me to do something?"

"Like what Z?" She asked, "I mean there isn't much to be done."

"There is plenty that can be done. You don't deserve to be treated that way, especially in front of your son."

She nodded, "I just get scared."

Z wanted nothing more than to protect her, to beat the shit out of the boyfriend. "You know this is bugging the shit out of me right." He said to her.

"I like that you're so concerned for me and my son." She smiled.

"Kind of hard not to."

"Why's that?" She asked grinning ear to ear.

Z grinned, "Let's just say that I happen to like you a little more than I probably should."

"Oh really, is that so?"

He laughed, "Yes it is so."

"Well good, because I feel the same way."

"So what do we do about that?" He asked smirking devilishly.
