It was the beginning of the end for Zadan, Blake and Jordan.  Jordan had been out of the picture for the most part.  He was said to have married the Cali girl and was raising his son Av with her.  Things were good in his life.  Blake and Jaye however were back and forth.  Mostly because Blake had met another.  A nurse named Monica from San Antonio, Texas.  At first they had just emailed back and forth.  He was single after all, him and Jaye had called it quits for the who knows how many times in the past few months, it was one of their many breaks at that time.  So the two started talking.  She was in a relationship and wasn't looking for anything but someone to talk too, Blake was very much in the same boat minus the relationship.  But he wasn't looking either.  He was simply just looking for someone to pass the long hours of the day with by bullshitting back and forth.  Emails came fast, she was quick send him her picture.  Things with Monica went faster than he had ever expected.  After less than a week, the two began talking every hour of every day.  Email was becoming way too slow for her, she sent him her number and said to text her.  So he did.  She said not to worry about the current boyfriend because he was never around and he was a douchebag.  Blake did as he was told.  Soon the two decided it was time to talk on the phone.  The late night conversation went from laughing and talking to Monica taking it to the next level.  Something that Blake had never done on the phone before.  He listened at first unsure of what to say as she moaned in his ear, soon he was joining in talking to her keeping her going.  Soon she was moaning his name into his ear and he loved every minute of it.

Monica made it hard for him to get off the phone with her on the nights he needed to go to work.  At the time he worked security for a small company on the water in a small town in Michigan.  He told her one night on the phone that he didn't want to keep getting closer to her if she was going to continue to be with her boyfriend and so with that she said goodbye to him and the two started to officially date.  The relationship was fast and heavy.  They wasted no time in talking about the future and what it could be.  Monica was a little younger than Jaye, but she did things differently in a lot of parts of the relationship.  Where Jaye was reserved, which he often liked, Monica was ready to go whenever he said let's go.  There was no hesitation when Blake wanted something Blake got it.  Monica gave him a different kind of power when it came to the relationship.  She was what he needed to move on from Jaye, who had already moved on from him at that time.  Of course he had ways of finding things out and he did.  Over the months that followed he kept tabs on his ex to see how she was doing and living her life.  More often times than not he was slightly disappointed but it was no longer his place to interfere in her life.  He thought he was doing the best thing by leaving her alone and letting her finally live her life as she wished.

Monica would spend her days at work, sneak off to send him random pictures, leave him little voicemails, and send him little notes that said she missed him and was thinking of him.  It worked, soon enough he was falling for the girl who was nothing like Jaye.  He could finally listen to songs and not think about his ex.  For a short time, he was over her.  But we'll get to that later.

Monica introduced Blake to her family, from his uncle to her niece and all her hispanic cousins.  He was far from hidden from her life, and they all took it upon themselves to talk to him.  Her father and mother had died when she was young, so her uncle was her second father.  He had taken her under his wing and showed her things that made her into a very successful woman at a young age.  She had funds and loved to spend days shopping.  She'd even splurge on things for him.  Everything seemed to be going good and smooth, almost too good for the two.  And of course just like it always did, something or someone decided to spring up from her past.

Her ex, a marine, was in town and also good friends with her uncle and other family members decided to show up into her life.  Blake wasn't threatened by the marine, but he was possessive and very territorial when it came to what was his.  Especially after he found out that a night a her uncles house Monica had been in the kitchen cleaning it up when the marine walked in and tried to kiss her.  Blake was furious and didn't spare any words when it came to telling her just how he felt about it.  He asked if she kissed him back and she swore she didn't, but Blake had his doubts.
