Last time:
They were old and crumpled brown around the edges, and I instantly recognized the form of a letter. At the bottom of one was an official seal, but I had never seen it before, its curling lines that made a rose new to me. Which was impossible, considering I'd been around for almost thirty-seven thousand years. I carefully grabbed them and pried them from Germany's fingers, shocked at the grip my friend had on them. When I finally extracted them, I began to read. The first few words were scrawled in a beautiful script, catching my eyes almost immediately.
A race worth running... The most important thing to these girls...

Major Willis said that there may be some "promising recruits" at a local high school. He's sent me to gather them. What could he want with high schoolers? This project isn't for children...

The new recruits are as promising as the Major said! They look like normal girls, but they're strong. Not in a physical sense, but a mental one. They only have one goal here. To meet and protect the one's we're looking for! It's hilarious, but unfortunate that they can't know the real reason they're here. To capture their beloved countries and deliver them right to us for The Testing. We will finally uncover the secret to immortality and full regeneration! It's only a matter of time.

It's been nearly a year since the last time I've wrote here. I've been quite busy. The Major insisted that we work quickly. I guess it's good that we've already made so much progress in such a short amount of time. Those recruits are amazing! For such young people, their conviction is incredible. They've already made it past the first round of The Testing, with absolutely no resistance to the drugs and treatments given to them here. I have no doubt they know what we're after here after all this time. They're very smart girls. Yet they still don't fight us. They're still on the path to capturing their nations and handing them right over to us!

The most important thing to those girls. "The race worth running," they call it. My time at this facility is ending, but for these girl's, it's just beginning. Today they celebrated America's birthday. Even though they haven't left this building in more than ten years, they still have this much happiness in them? This much hope? It's strange in a way. After everything they've been through here. The electroshock treatments. The Drug. Everything. Yet they still race on to their goal, with no heed for themselves. That will be their downfall one day I'm sure.
They still look so young for their late-twenty's... Just like they did when they were at eighteen. They made it through The Testing in less than five years and after that, when The Processing started, they just seemed to stop aging. But that's impossible at this point. Isn't it? Or maybe the new Major just wants to keep this old woman in the dark? I wonder...

I would say "new recruits," but they've been here for almost seventy years now. I found some old letters, or should I say diary entries, and decided to add some of my own. I found this book in a hidden hole behind one of the library's book shelves. They were all talking about The Girls. The new Countries that were created here. They were already connected to they're landmasses by the time I was added here, but The Processing was still going on at the time. I guess it was around the time our 'friends' in the Russian and Icelandic governments started giving us trouble.
But, getting back on track, I wanted to say, who ever started these pages was smart beyond belief. Those screams would keep anyone up at night unless you tried to lessen the load a little. I know. They still haunt me.
