The girl nodded and buried her head in my shoulder, seemingly growing smaller as she did. I don't think I'll ever see her that shaken again for the rest of my life.

Arwen's POV: It was storming, lightning flashing in the windows and making the red curtains glow for moments at a time. The rain pounded heavily on the roof, sheering across the surface loudly. A boom of thunder shook the floor, making my hand twitch on the banister as I made my way down the stairs. I felt goosebumps run up my arms and I shivered at the electricity in the air. When ever a storm like this came in I was always on edge.
My feet hit the last step just as voices came to my ears, " How do you think Prussia's coping?" At the mention of Gilbert I froze. Is that... Roderich? I frowned, crouching down and peeking through the spindles, while grasping them in my hands.
Roderich was sitting on the couch, Elizabeta handing him a steaming coffee cup. Roderich wore his usual fancy outfit while Elizabeta had on her green dress and white apron, though both of their clothes were wrinkled. As he took the cup from her hand she sat down beside him, placing her fingers on his knee. "I think he's okay... I think the similarities are bothering him though. Arwen is certainly an interesting character."
"I'll agree with you on that," Roderich took a sip of whatever was in his cup and looked into Elizabeta's eyes. "Do you think she's doing all those things on purpose?" At his question I felt fury start to rise in my chest.
"What the hell?! I wouldn't do something like that," I whispered furiously, my knuckles beginning to turn white as my grip tightened. I hadn't meant for Gil to see all the things he had. I had meant to hide my old sword better, but of course I had meant to do a lot of things. A lot of which had never turned out well. I sighed, tuning back into the conversation that had continued without me.
"...and the way she acts is starting to make me think that she likes him."
"I think she likes all of us, at least somewhat."
"That's not what I meant Austria..." She gave him a slightly annoyed look. His face turned a light shade of red.
"O-Oh... Is that what you meant?" She merely nodded and Roderich let his head fall, embarrassed.
"Of course I'm under the assumption that she only likes him for his status as a country. I mean, she hasn't even know him before these last three months, half of which she was gone doing God knows what with those friends of hers. In all honesty, I trust her, but I think it's bad for Prussia to stay here-"
I almost screamed, "WHAT?!" I stormed out from where I hid and stomped over to them, my footsteps seemingly shaking the house. Elizabeta and Roderich jumped, their heads jerking towards me.
"A-Arwen! How long have you been-"
"Long enough," I yelled, planting my feet down as I came to be in front of them. Anger swirled within me. How dare they think that! I've never loved Gil because he was a country! I care for him because he's Gilbert, nothing more nothing less.
"Why would you say something like that?!"
Elizabeta stood up to face me as her eyes took on a stubborn glare, "Because you know absolutely nothing about him!You just met us a few months ago!"
I fought the urge to tell her the truth, the whole truth. That I've known them before this moment and I knew more than she was giving me credit for. I held my tongue though, unable to do anything but stare back at her defiantly. She smirked, making my blood boil, "So I'm right then. I'm even willing to bet you know nothing about his history either. You're just full of yourself, aren't you?"
