You know, living forever is not as fun as it may seem. There is a bunch of stuff that goes wrong. People die and leave you behind. You go through huge amounts of pain and on occasion, even torture. You get to watch the world go to shit and try to ma...
The last thing I saw were a pair of booted feet walking out from behind a pile of rubble. I managed to look up and make out a grey hooded figure.

The darkened building was eerie, the yard leading up to it covered in shadows. Windows reflected the bright moonlight that filtered through the trees, creating spots on the ground from the tree's leaves.
A solitary form strode slowly through a leaf strewn path, heading for the front door. A dark colored hood concealed the face, only a small set of pale hands visible. A dark aura seemed to surround it, the air turning cold and its breath coming out in bellows of white smoke.
Suddenly it stopped, only a few yards from the seemingly abandoned house, and turned, walking into the trees. It twisted along an invisible pathway, no sounds accompanying it's movements. It spun around as a twig snapped, grabbing its attention.
A small light broke through the night, contrasting brightly against its nearly pitch black background. "Hello Silvana..." The voice was smooth and deep, indicating a male. His form was cloaked as well, preventing anyone from seeing his appearance, much like that of the one he called Silvana.
A clear voice answered him, "Hello General." Her tone was strictly formal, no other emotions seeping through.
"How was the mission? It went well as always I assume?" His outline stalked around her's, keeping his distance like one would to an animal.
"Of course." She didn't move her head to follow his movements, allowing him to circle her.
"And the girls?"
"They still refuse to answer where they've hidden the countries."
He stopped, "That's not what I meant."
"It you were talking about their conditions then you needn't worry. Their wounds are taking much longer to heal than normal."
A menacing laugh echoed through the still air, "Good... Good... Let's proceed to the next stage then."
Silvana started to glide back the way she came, never once glancing behind her.
"As you wish."
