My stomach growled, ruining the perfect moment. I sighed and walked to the door, glancing back and hoping I got back before any of them awoke.

I blushed slightly, letting my mind wonder to who had changed and bathed me, even though the logical part of me knew it had to be Natalia or Irunya. Most likely Irunya, since Natalia and I didn't really get along.
Yet a girl can imagine, can't she?

I swung my legs over the side of the bed and carefully pulled out the IV, allowing my feet to hit the ground. So far I'd had no more dizzy spells, but I knew I had to be gradual about this or I may hit the floor. In all honesty I knew this was a bad idea, but why not.
It wasn't like this was going to kill me or anything. There was no reason for me to be afraid then.

The notifications light blinked, letting me know that someone had been trying to get a hold of me. I reached over, picking up the lightweight device.
I wasn't sure what time it was but I wasn't very tired any more. I would at least be able to get some work done.

Once I finished I sighed, reaching over for the bottle of pain-killers on the table next to me. Taking two I laid back on the bed and stared out the hole in the roof where the moon was just beginning to rise.
A sense of loneliness fell over me as the house went silent and my mind was allowed to wonder. Finally I had to close my eyes, hoping that sleep would come take me back into its embrace.

Japan's POV: I shifted in my chair, nearly falling into the floor. My head went ever deeper into the covers of Scarlett's bed, making it hard to breath. Propping myself up on my elbows I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, yawning. I reached out with my hand, expecting to hit Scarlett's body. Instead, nothing. My eyes snapped open.
She was gone.

Scarlett's POV: The sound of frantic yelling sent me sprinting out of the kitchen, tripping over myself. I reached out and called my sword to me, gripping its smooth hilt as I rushed back to my room. Crashes were heard and I heard a thump, singling that someone had hit the floor. Ignoring the pain in my side I continued forward, praying I wasn't to late. A sense of foreboding fell over me. It had to be what I thought it was. These noises clearly meant a fight was taking place. I braced myself for the inevitable.
It just had to be the League, trying to kidnap the countries while I was down. They weren't going to succeed though. Not while I was alive and breathing. The thought of Kiku and the others being dragged off into the night. Of being tortured like the girl's and I had been. They all sent me strength to fight.
I slammed open the living-room door and leaped across the room, kicking open my bedroom door. I froze, as did the rest of the people in the room, all of us staring at one another. I dropped my sword, a dull ringing echoing through the new silence before it vanished, disappearing in a flash of black smoke. I felt my mouth hang open, disbelief flowing through my veins.
There was no attack. Kiku and the others stood, each holding a weapon of some kind. It looked as though I had stopped their frantic search. For me.
I sank to my knees, my hand pressing against my side as I felt fresh blood leak to the surface of my wound. Looks like I've pulled my stitches... I couldn't help but start laughing though, not paying any attention to the glares I received as they all helped me back into bed.
