Luna's POV: I guess pacing might not of been the best idea... I flinched at the tension filled gazes that were focused on my back as I waited for Kyoko's magic to drop us off at the house. Ludwig's foot tapped impatiently, echoing across the empty space. Feli held onto Ludwig's arm, shivering slightly, yet surprisingly keeping face at the strange situation at hand. Lovino was pacing like I was earlier, walking in mini-circles and muttering things such as "What the hell..." and "Bastard" under his breath. Antonio was attempting to calm him down, chasing after him and rubbing his hands across Lovino's back. Basch and Erika were standing off to the side, Basch keeping a protective hand on Erika's shoulder.
Not surprisingly was the fact that I was so freakin' excited on the inside, my mental self doing flips and somersaults, while my outside self was constrained by Ludwig's demanding glare. I sighed and turned towards them, smiling happily even though I was extremely tired. We had left early Monday morning. About one week ago. After that we hadn't much sleeping time, what with us being on constant edge for any sign of the League. We had only discovered their idea to capture the countries at their next meeting maybe two days before hand, and we had refused to sleep for the rest of the time. It's definitely starting to take a large toll on me...
I must of looked pretty bad because as I turned to face them, Ludwig's harsh gaze softened slightly, as did Basch's. Feli stepped forward, releasing Ludwig's arm and grabbing my hand. His normally closed eyes opened, revealing the amber underneath. I saw Ludwig stiffen at the action in the corner of my eye. "Hey, you're not lookin to good. Are you alright?" I merely smiled, though less enthusiastic as before. I answered, but even I could hear the exhaustion in my voice.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired, but once I get us home I intended to take a nice, long siesta." The condition of my voice even caused Lovino to turn and glance at me in uncertainty. Feli tried to take a step closer to me but I stepped back, shaking my head.
"Go on back to Ludwig, Feli. I'm fine, I swear." I saw a spark of shock run through everyone's eyes, Lovino's widening the most. I felt the world beneath my feet start to shake and I watched with drained amusement as they struggled to get their footing. That's when I saw Lovi start to fall, and I darted forward, reaching out my arms.
With that, color flooded back into the world around us, replacing the green and exposing us to a familiar tropical feeling climate. Bushes and trees came into focus, the sound of wind and water reaching my ears. I watched from my peripheral vision as I ran, viewing with a tiny bit of envy as Basch caught Erika and Ludwig steadied Feli. I kept my gaze on Lovi though.
Just as I reached Lovino and caught him, a loud growl boomed from a nearby bush, making all of us freeze. Then I relaxed, but only for a moment. Ludwig drew his gun and pointed it at the plant just as a wolf with black fur with a white underbelly came slinking from the shadows. He cocked the gun and I shot forward, glancing back only once to see if Lovi was okay.
"NO!"

Lovino's POV: Her eyes had been underlined by dark circles, her skin pale as she stood in the dim lighting. When Italy had approached her I had expected the same rounds of flirting and heart filled eyes that always happens when he talked to a woman. Yet she had shoved him away, not in a mean way, but in a cut-it-out kind of way. She had blown him off, and that surprised me. I've never seen any girl resist Italy before.
My train of thought was cut short as the ground started shaking, sending me stumbling forward. I heard a thin voice yell my name and looked up to see Spain already on the ground. If it wasn't that bastard...who was it? I looked up to see Luna's now faintly panicked face on mine. My heart stopped for a minute. I've never seen anyone look at me that way before. It's rare that anyone would feel concern over me. I know that for certain.
She shot towards me, grabbing my arms and keeping me upright. I felt a rush of humidity hit me in the face and bushes and trees faded into view. For a second everything froze, my eyes connecting with Luna's. A smile broke out on her face, and my heart jumped. She actually looked relieved that I was okay. That in and of itself was weird.
A growl in the bushes made me falter. It was an angry, guttural sound that send shivers up my spine, but Luna seemed comforted and relaxed at the sound. Just that one sight put my fear at a lower standard, making me feel more nervous than anything. That was only for a second though, as the cocking of a gun made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Then, when I turned to look, blonde hair obscured my view. "NO!"
Luna was racing towards where the growl had come from. I followed her with my eyes as a dark shape stalked from the shadows, revealing itself.
A large, black wolf with a light underbelly was staring at Germany, who was holding the gun I had heard. Italy was shivering behind him, tears of fear building in his eyes. A white flag was in his hand. When the hell did that bastard find that?! Germany pulled the trigger, a loud boom echoing around the clearing we were standing in. He aimed right for the wolf's head. The sickening sound of blood and flesh flying made me want to shield my eyes. Wait...where'd that girl go?!
A groan caught my ear and I whipped my head back to were Luna was. I gasped. She clutched her leg, blood pouring from between her fingers. A pained expression stuck to her face and a strange feeling ran through my chest. I watched as Luna moved swiftly, sticking her fingers through the new hole in her tight black pants. She grunted in pain before yanking her hand back out, a silver object falling from her hand and to the ground. It was the bullet. A moment later the bleeding stopped and she sighed rubbing the spot where she had been injured.
"If I wasn't a country..." I heard her mutter as she turned to the large canine behind her and patted its head. "Sorry Tamotsu..." She turned her head towards Germany.
"This boy here is my pet. His family's at home, so can you put your gun away? They won't hurt you, Tamo here was just startled, that's all." Germany's and Basch's faces were filled with disbelief. Italy standing shocked in the same fashion.
Luna started walking, but when we didn't start off following her she turned back towards us. "Well? Aren't you coming? There should be some pasta waiting for us at home."
SHE'S CONCERNED ABOUT THAT?! SHE JUST GOT SHOT!
