I woke up early and feeling well rested this morning. I had a feeling that something dreadful would happen so I prepared myself extra well.
Ryder was still asleep, so I took a shower and put on my favorite New York style outfit. It felt a little weird not to be wearing my boots and a flannel. I wore a pair of see-through, patterned black tights and a black, skin-tight, leather dress with long sleeves. I had a black peplum jacket on standby because it's cold out. I wore black close-toed stilettos.
"Jada?" Ryder called in his sleepy voice, laying in bed.
I walked in to the room looking like a million bucks.
"Woah." He sat up quickly.
"Oh? You like this?" I asked.
He nodded, practically drooling.
"Okay. Close your mouth, I'm not that pretty." I demanded.
"Yeah. You are." He climbed out of bed.
"Put some clothes on." I groaned and walked into the bathroom to finish my hair.
He came in after he dressed.
"I think I'm starting to show. That's impossible right?" I asked as he finished brushing his teeth.
"You look beautiful." He hugged me from behind and I turned my head to kiss him.
"Ready?" I asked, grabbing my coat.
We both walked out and met the rest of the family for breakfast. Then we all went to see the Empire State Building.
"Dad, can we eat at Casa Enrique for lunch?" I asked.
"Yeah. We'd have to pass the hotel and backtrack, but you could say goodbye to Kota, Rani, Andy, and all of your other friends."
I smiled. I really love it here.
After we saw more sights, we finally went to lunch across the street from my old apartment building.
"Mmmm. I love these tacos." I mumbled.
Everyone nodded in agreement. I finished eating only to realize I don't feel too well. I rushed to the bathroom. Luckily, it was a false alarm. I came back out shaking and feeling faint and dizzy.
"Munchkin, is there something you aren't telling me?" My dad asked noticing how sick I've been lately.
"N-No. Why would you think that?" I asked blatantly lying and grabbing Ryder's hand under the table.
"I think you're pregnant." He responded.
Ryder retaliated, "That's ridiculous, sir."
"No, dad, you're right." I interrupted and started crying. "I didn't want to tell you out of fear you wouldn't let me come on the trip. I'm so sorry." My voice weakened. "I'm so sorry."
"Hey, don't cry. It's gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine." My dad reassured me. "I'm so pissed at you and you're in so much trouble, but we're gonna be okay."
Ryder's dad was straight up yelling. To avoid some large, inappropriate vocabulary, I won't share that information. I couldn't handle the yelling and disapproval from Ryder's dad. His mom was just shocked. She had absolutely nothing to say. Emily quietly snuck out when her dad was yelling. I thought I could do the same.
"Sit your ass down young lady." Adam instructed.
Damn, Ryder's dad has a temper. He was so pissed. My dad tried calming him down and in turn, he created a distraction so we could leave.
We darted across the street and split up. I ran into my old place and asked Andy a few things. He buzzed me up to my old floor.
I pounded on Kota's door. Rani wasn't home at the moment.
He opened the door and there I was looking like a model, but feeling like a dumpster.
"Oh my gosh, Jada. Are you okay?" He pulled me into his arms.
"My dad knows." I managed to tell him.
He calmed me down the way he always could.
Ryder texted me: I lost you. I'm at the hotel. Where are you?
I ignored him. Kota and his mom comforted me until it was time to get ready for bed. At 10:00 my phone had like 340 unread texts from my family, but I ignored them all. I decided to go back to the hotel to sleep. I said my final farewells with Kota and mom and Rani and her family. Nobody could stop crying. It was going to be a while before I could come back again. Afterwards, I dashed over to see Farah because I promised to say goodbye to her.
Everyone was asleep by the time I got back to my room. Everyone, but Ryder.
"It's 11:30. Where have you been?" He interrogated.
"You know exactly where I've been. Save us both the trouble of asking. I'm going to bed. Goodnight, I love you." I replied stripping to my bra and underwear and flopping onto the bed.
I fell asleep in the comfort of my boyfriend's arms.
