"So change of plans." said Cara. The two of them carrying two large paper bags of baking materials and ingredients, walking down the street to god only Cara knows where.

Karlie stops walking and faces Cara. That runway fierce look now given directly to her British friend.

"What?" she said with an icy voice. But Cara just smiled at her and continued on walking.

"Cara!" shouting at her friend. You can't really call it a shout, for even when she was young, Karlie was soft spoken. That's when her friend caught her attention and made a full stop, turning around but now looking down.

"My manager book me a flight to Paris for this show, and I need to leave." she said.

"What?! When?" said Karlie, her eyes widening, suddenly feeling awkward thinking about meeting this person, who she doesn't even know and spend hours teaching him how to bake. Two of them alone in a kitchen.

"Ah... now?" said Cara, who acts like she's about to run from Karlie.

"What! Then tell your friend that something came up and just cancel out on him. I don't want to go in there alone." said the tall girl, she starts to panicked.

"I can't." said Cara, who's now biting her lips.

"Why.... not?" Karlie's voice now sounded that she's about to strangle Cara.

"Cause we're already here." said Cara as she press the doorbell of a Tribeca house.

Karlie's eyes widened and her lips mouth words that says "I'm going to kill you." But her friend just smiled at her, and said "You're gonna thank me for this." and winked at her.

Before the tall girl can answer, the door opens.

It was like lightning. You'll never know when it will happen, it has no warning. Nobody prays for it, nobody wants to be strike by it. It comes with fear.

And the girl standing in front of her, was her lightning. If she were given a choice to vanish, she will gladly choose it. If its acceptable to society to just run away if you someone you doesn't want to see, she's probably halfway of Manhattan now. But life doesn't work that way.

"Oh good you here!" said Taylor who gave Cara a kissed on the cheek. Then Taylor looked and smiled at her.

"Hi! I'm Taylor!" she said and gestured a hand to her. For a moment Karlie was just standing there. Thinking that maybe Taylor doesn't remember her. That maybe, well she's Taylor swift, and she meet hundreds of people everyday. She's an icon and she's just a model, how can she possibly think that she'll be that important to be remembered. Though she felt a sense of relief, she didn't know why but she felt a little bit disappointed thinking that Taylor forgot about her.

So she reached for Taylor's hand and smiled back at her. "Karlie, it was nice to finally meet you Taylor Swift." Then the pop star smiled at her. Seeing her up close, she was really beautiful. Her red lips and blue eyes shines, she was indeed a star. Karlie felt her face warmed up, she suddenly let go of Taylor's hand. "What's gotten into you Karlie?!" she told herself.

"Please, call me Taylor. Come on in guys." she said. Karlie got back to reality and glance at her friend.

"He." she said. Which made Cara burst into a hysterical laugh.

"Why is she laughing?" Taylor asked Karlie.  But the tall girl couldn't answer her. What would she say? That her friend just set them up?

"Nothing, but hey. I'm sorry Tay. I really love to hang out and catch up with you, but I got a plane to catch. Please take care of Karliefor me? Ciao!" said Cara as she walks towards the street. When she got on the cab, Taylor held her hand that surprises Karlie and led them inside the house.

Karlie was still in shock, she's inside Taylor's apartment, the latter showing her around as they walk their way towards the kitchen. Once they got there, that's the time the singer let her hand go. Karlie couldn't help but be amazed by Taylor's kitchen. It looks like it was cut off from one of those leisure magazines.

"Let me help you with that." said Taylor, taking the bags from her hands and putting it on the table counter. Karlie can't even say a word. She's just thankful that Taylor doesn't remember her, and what happened in the VS show. Taylor sat on the stool on the opposite side of her. Then, the singer stares at her, elbows on the table, chin on her right hand. The kitchen was filled with silence. Karlie glance at Taylor and their eyes met. But she's the first one to pulled away. She felt her face warming up again, her heart beating in an erratic beat. Why is she even feeling that way. She took a deep breath and let the air comes out of her nose. Like what she does in her yoga class.

"Okay, so, you want to learn how to bake. Can you enlightened me on what type of pastries do you want to make?" she asked as she starts taking out the baking materials from the bag. But Taylor just stared at her which made Karlie feels more uncomfortable.

"Cakes? Cookies?" she asked, trying to get a word out of her. Taylor sat up straight from her chair.

"I like cookies." answered Taylor, finally breaking her silence.

"What kind?" Karlie was relieve that the singer is now engaging conversation with her.

"The kind you made for me on the Victoria show." Taylor said.

Karlie suddenly drop the box of parchment paper on the floor. Taylor then stood up from the steel chair and walk towards her. She reach for the parchment on the floor then stand  in front of Karlie, who was still in shock from what she just heard.

Taylor notice her eyes. Her pupils are dilated that made the green parts almost disappear. Same as what it looks like three months ago. She doesn't know why, but she felt a feeling of satisfaction seeing Karlie like this, caught of guard. Her thin lips parted.

"You have butter fingers." she said.

"Huh?" that's what all Karlie could say.

"You always seems to drop things. See." Taylor said, putting the parchment box on the table.

"Oh.." said Karlie.

"Look Karlie, I'm sorry for the way I acted back then. There's no excuse for my actions. But all I really want to say is I'm sorry." said Taylor who was now looking down on the floor. Gone was the confident girl who greeted her on the door. It was an inappropriate feeling, but Karlie find Taylor's action's cute. She look's like a kid who just ate a candy which her mother told her not to do so. And that made Karlie giggled. Which made Taylor look up. Suddenly, the room was filled with laughter. And when it finally died down, Karlie said. "Let's start baking."
