~Chapter 23~ His Return

Recently On Behold, The One:
Alexander and Celestine spent most of their afternoon in the Treasure Rooms of the Jewel Empire Castle, trying to find the perfect gift for King Robert, obviously with her permission. They got the Cotton Celestine Amulet in the end, also known as the Cloudy Opal. After, they settle in the Jewel Empire for that single night, resting.

Chapter 22's Ending:
Tomorrow is the big day, the day we return.

   Rubbing her temples, Electra got out of bed. She pulled off the covers and checked the time. 5 am? To think I though I was late... With that thought and a few grumbles, she went to wash up. After that, Electra changed from her nightgown into a silky deep blue dress. It was down to her knees, a reasonable length. Since she was already dressed, she decided to take a stroll in the park.

   While she was walking, though, she noticed a figure on one of the wooden benches. Who else would be up so early? Curious, she approached the figure. To her shock or surprise, she saw Alexander there! And he was in his nightgown. Instantly, she hid in a nearby bush, not wanting to attract any attention.

   "How am I going to deal with Adrian when I get back... He's definitely going to make a fuss if I get chosen. He will demand a duel, which I would be sure to lose..." He sighed heavilly, walking back to his room.

   He was worried that Prince Adrian would challenge him. Of course! That made way more sense. Electra snuck into the garden canopies, pretending to be there the whole time. Slowly, she slept on one of the beds. It was during the season of Spring at the time, perfect for a day outside.

   -Two Hours Later-

   The warm, yellow light from the sun shone on Electra's face, waking her. Out of the blue, something blocked it out. She stirred, slowly waking up to see Gaia before her.

   "I know it is already 8 am, I'm just taking my time to head to the Dining Hall..." She grumbled, slouching as she made her way for breakfast.

   Inside, she was the only one awake  other than Queen Amber and Princess Rose.

   "Good Morning Queen Amber and Princess Rose." She greeted with a curtsy.

   Amber gestured for her to rise, giggling slightly.

   "Such manners. Electra my dear, if I allowed Celestine and Alexander to call me Aunt Amber, what makes you think you cannot?" She asked sweetly.

   She did allow them to adress her as their aunt? Uhm... Celestine has a bigger role than me.

   "I was just teasing! You may call me Aunt Amber if you like, spare the formalities."

   "Thank you, Aunt Amber." She replied as she got her breakfast.

   Minutes later, she noticed that the others came in with their buffet breakfasts.

   "Morning." Electra greeted solemnly.

   "Good Morning Aunt Amber, Princess Rose and Electra." The four replied in unison, bowing and curtsying as they did so.

   "Good Morning to you little darlings. And please, call Rose by her name. She is my child and younger than you people, afterall."

   The five bowed slightly in acknowledgement as they ate their food. Once they were done, they made sure they had their valuables before declaring their departure.

   "Good bye! Do feel free to come and visit anytime!" Amber assured as the five flew off on their winged-horses.

   That was the most smooth part of the trip ever. It is as if there were no problems at all! Well, except for our way there of course.

   Their pegaside flapped their wings particullarly fast that day, since they knew that the ride could have took three days at normal pace.

   In less than two hours, they were already above the Celestial Kingdom. It was around 12 noon though, lunch time. The five bought a sandwhich from some random shop before continuing their journey, eating as they did so. It was all going well.

   Another one hour later, they were above the Sky Tribe. This trip is taking about 3 hours compared to days...

   From a distance, they saw the bright red, silver, blue and brown castle. It was the Elemental Kingdom Castle.

   Minutes later, they landed, much to Alexander's relief. I'm finally back home. After my quest, I'm finally back.

   He walked in, bringing his bag and the other four along. Alexander knocked on the two big brown doors, waiting for an answer.

   "Come in." The loud reply sounded.

   Alexander pushed the gates open, walking in with his 'Treasure Bag'. The other four were on their knees, bowing before King Robert and Queen Miranda.

   He chuckled slightly, telling them to rise. With tears of joy, he ran towards Alexander and gave him a big bear hug. One month, you've finally returned.

   Queen Miranda ran down from her throne and joinned the family hug. They just loved each other so much.

   "What have you got?" King Robert asked as the seven of them sat in the Living Room.

   Alexander explained what he got. The Sky Pearl and Sky Angel Feather from the Sky Tribe, The Celestial Baton from the Celestial Kingdom, The Rainbow Iris Garland from the Floral Tribe and the Cotton Celestine Amulet from the Jewel Empire, also known as the Cloudy Opal. Swiftly, King Robert did a thorough check-up on all of the items.

   "Oh my stars! These things are extremely rare. All except the baton of course. But still, better compared to Adrain!" King Robert chirped happily, giving Alexander a tight squeeze.

   "How did you even get a Sky Angel Feather?! Those angels hide themselves very well even if they were in the Sky Tribe. It is impossible to identify if one is a Sky Angel." King Robert asked curiously.

   The five laughed hysterically as Alexander spoke up.

   "That's easy with Celestine around!"

   She blushed profusely, summoning her angel wings as she did so. Hurricane didn't tell me that her daughter was a Sky Angel... King Robert pondered.

   A pair of silver-coloured eyes looked at them from a small gap in the doors.

   I will always get what I want, even if it means defeating you.
