Recently On Behold, The One:
Alexander wakes Celestine to invite her for dinner after her battle with Adrian and her short nap. To her surprise, Alexander proposes to her with an elegant diamond ring. She accepts his proposal enthusiastically, kissing him shortly after. They then had a hearty conversation and some grape juice instead of wine, in honor of Celestine. They arrange their marriage two weeks later and Electra and Oceana will be two of the bridesmaids, while Gaia becomes Alexander's right hand man.Chapter 28's Ending:
To think I'm getting married. Oh geez, I have to tell mom and Crystalite!
----------------------------------------------------------1 Week Later-
"Really? Congratulations!" Crystalite and Diana exclaimed in unison over the phone.
Celestine giggled, continuing to tell them about the wedding as she planned some of it on paper.
"So, Crystalite, Oceana and Electra will be my bridesmaids, if you want to of course Crystalite. I will invite Jade and Rose from the Jewel Empire to be the flower girls and Ehren to be the uhm... Page boy? Gaia's going to be Alexander's right hand man." Celestine informed them, admiring a dress design in the catalogue.
It was long and had a sligh tail behind her. The soft white cloth was wrapped around her chest, leaving the lace to cover her shoulders from there. The lace formed long sleeves over her arms, making the dress look extremely elegant. It looked regal enough for a royal wedding but simple enough for her liking. She chose a normal veil, just ling enough to cover her face and hair which would be let down on the day. She would wear strapped pumps, making it easier to walk in. Besides, it would be hidden under her extremely long dress.
She sent the design to the tailors' so that it could be made. She followed up by chosing the bridesmaids' dresses. It was one week away to her dream wedding. They had the invitations sent just that day, the venue, which was the royal gardens, settled, the bridesmaids, right hand man, flower girls and paige boy selected and the clothing which was currently in progress. For their colour theme, they chose red to represent Alexander and white to represent Celestine. Finally, she chose a lovely dress that was down to her knees which was lovely but not overpowering at the same time. It was like a flare skirt at the bottom and a sleeveless top. It was both red and white, a beautiful combination with silver trim.
Sending that design to the tailors' as well, she changed from her pajamas into a simple spagetti-striped dress which was in different shades of blue. With some pumps, she was ready to go. She headed for Alexander's room to check on what he had chose for his suit and the paige boy's suit and the right hand man's suit on wedding day. It was indeed, a mess.
"Looks like you haven't decided. You migt want to hurry though, because I already have." Celestine asked, teasing Alexander playfully.
She gave Gaia a call, who came instantly. Laughing, she told Alexander that Gaia could help.
"Oh yeahhhh. Why didn't I think of that before?" Alexander questioned, making us burst out laughing.
Gaia and Alexander checked through their catalogue, selecting suits to wear for the wedding. Leaving them be, Celestine left the room and walked towards the royal training room. When she was feeling all pumped up with energy, she would go there to practice dueling. This time though, she would try out all sorts of weapons. Mainly her sword, but she would try out others.
She once again poised herself before the familiar hologram as she held her whip with great strength. Celestine flung it in the air with such speed that it immediately sliced the hologram into half. Waiting for the next challenge, she summoned her spear.
Celestine then swiped it in the air swiftly, gusts of wind swirling behind her. She used it to block every falling rock and pebble, even splitting some of them. The last huge one was split into several pebbles as Celestine through her spear straight into it with great strength.
The several rocks disappeared, preparing for the last challenge for the day. She summoned her bow and arrow, aiming it at the target. Swiftly, it shot the bullseye ring, signalling perfection. To her surprise, she heard applause from the control room. Whipping her head behind to find out who it was, it turned out to be King Robert.
"Marvellous skills, dear Celestine." He praised, going down to meet Celestine.
Surprised by his praise, she bowed and acknowledgement and put her weapons away.
"Thank you, King Robert."
"You do remember that your marriage with my son is this Friday right?"
"Why of course! I would never forget such an imprortant date."
"Then why are you still calling me King Robert. You will be my daughter-in-law soon. You can always call me your father."
The words stunned her. The king, my father? Oh my stars... Did King Robert just ask me to acknowledge him as my father?
"F-father?"
The king smiled, lowering himself to her level. He smiled, whispering one good piece of news that brightened her day.
"They really agreed to come?"
"Yes they did. Now that your wedding is all planned out, this calls for a celebration!"
With that, King Robert brought Celestine out of the training room and into the ballroom. All the decorations and food were already placed and prepared, all that was left to come were the guests.
"We are holding a ball to celebrate! The biggest way possible. You can wear the gown of your choice and dance later today with Alexander before heading back to your room. You are only allowed to sleep with Alexander after the wedding do take note of that."
With that, King Robert returned to Queen Miranda's side as they completed the ball preparations. Celestine went back to her room swiftly, choosing to wear a floor length gown which was pink, purple and blue. A bold first choice. She then combed her hair and glanced at the proposal ring once again before slipping her heels on and waiting for Alexander to pick her as arranged.
On his way, he smiled while thinking of the sweet memories he had with Celestine. I could get used to the royal romantic life.
