~Chapter 25~ The Kiss

Recently On Behold, The One:
The gang of five return to the Elemental Kingdom. In the middle of talking about Alexander and Celestine's relationship, Adrian attacks the seven of them. Commander Hurricane goes to their rescue but falls unconscious due to his duel with Adrian. Later on, when Celestine manages to defeat Adrian, King Robert sends him to the dungeons. Oceana heals Commander Hurricane and the seven sit to continue their conversation.

Chapter 24's Ending:
His words shocked Commander Hurricane. Agree to my daughter's marriage?

   "Well, it would be my honor to hand my daughter over to you. As long as she is agreeable, of course." Commander Hurricane replied, recovering from the shock as she glanced over to Celestine.

   Celestine felt some sort of pressure. Sure she liked Alexander but getting married when they were just 15? It sounded really weird. Well, that year, they were going to turn 16 but still. 16 is a very young age to actually get married. As much as Celestine wanted to agree, her intincts told her to be patient and wait.

   "I'd be honored, King Robert. Although, 15 is an awfully young age to get married, is it not?" She asked solemnly, sighing slightly.

   The King furrowed his eyebrows, considering Celestine's words.

   "You do have a very good point. To be married at this age for Royalty is actually quite common though." He explained, surprising Celestine.

   Her eyes widened in surprise and she smiled brightly.

   "I'd love to. Could I have a month to consider though?" Celestine asked softly, worried that the king might scold her for the request.

   King Robert took a quick glance at Alexander who nodded, agreeing to Celestine's request.

   "Very well then. One month, you shall have. After that, you will have to decided though." King Robert granted, smiling sadly as he and Queen Miranda left the room, leaving the gang of five inside.

   Celestine and Alexander exchanged glances, happy and relieved that they could take their time to decide.

   "Meet me in the Royal Gardens at 5pm later on. Oh and do, dress beautifully. I'm taking you out tonight." Alexander instructed Celestine calmly, walking out with Gaia following him.

   What's he up to? Celestine pondered, andrenaline making her heart quicken as Oceana and Electra brought her to Celestine's room once again. This time though, Celestine agreed freely. Electra pulled out the dresses while Oceana did the bath.

   She then left Celestine in the bathroom to soak into the bathtub and have a luxurious rose petal bath to relax. The rose's auroma smelled perfect, releasing a calming effect. In the meanwhile, Oceana got a hair curler, a hair dryer, a hair brush and some hair oil. Electra picked out a pearl white sundress which had a sky blue frost covering. Along with it came pearl white gloves which was up to her elbows and a pair of crystal-strapped heels. To match, Celestine was going to wear the necklace given to her back in the Sky Tribe.

   Celestine dried herself, wrapping herself around with a towel. She walked into the enclosed walk-in closet which had her completed look inside. She fitted into the dress and gloves, twirling around to take a look at herself. She then wore her heels and wore the necklace around her neck. Celestine walked out of the room proudly, smiling sweetly.

   "Aww, thanks guys! I look fabulous right now!" She thanked cheerfully, sitting before the dressing table as Oceana did her hair.

   She dried it quickly, then putting some oil to smoothen the tangles in Celestine's hair. Oceana then brushed Celestine's hair and curled it to give it the perfect finish.

   "Whoa, you look so beautiful, I don't think you even need makeup!" Electra praised, making Celestine blush.

   Electra mildly put some glitter pink lip gloss in Celestine's lips before leaving her be.

   "Just in time, it's five now." Oceana smiled as she and Electra sent Celestine to the door.

   "Have fun!" They teased as Celestine made her way to the gardens.

   On her way though, she saw Alexander in his sleek black tuxedo. Celestine blushed mildly as she went over to him.

   "Hello, my prince." Celestine greeted teasingly, much to Alexander's surprise.

   "Good evening, my lady. You look stunning tonight!" He replied, making Celestine laugh elegantly.

   "Thank you. You look handsome yourself, Alexander."

   He gave Celestine a light peck on her cheek before dragging her into the Royal Gardens. At the center of the garden, there sat a table of two. It was a lovely candle-light dinner, which charmed Celestine. How sweet.

   He led her to the table, much like any man would try to win a woman's heart. Aww, that is just adorable. They sat down, eating western main courses as they talked.

   "Tell me honestly, why do you want to delay our marriage?" Alexander asked, taking Celestine by surprise.

   "I-I just find 15 a young age to get married." She replied, anxious of what Alexander was implying.

   Alexander sighed, pulling Celestine out of her seat as he looked into her eyes. His gaze was worried, and sad.

   "Do you, Celestine Stardust, love me?" He asked, leaning closer to her.

   "What are you saying? Of course I do!" Celestine assured, smiling.

   Immediately, Alexander pulled her closer into his arms and kissed her on the lips. He kissed me! After all this time, he actually mustered the courage to admit that he loved me! When Alexander pulled away, Celestine simply crushed her lips onto his. She didn't want it to end so soon. Alexander's eyes widened, he felt surprise and excitement due to her single action. When they pulled away, they looked at each other in surprise, smiling. Alexander carried Celestine, twirling her around in circles.

   "Celestine, thank you, for the lovely night." Alexander thanked, smiling.

   She smiled, hugging Alexander tightly. Oh Alexander, I should be the one thanking you for tonight.

   They returned to their rooms, thinking about the date they had together. How romantic. It was sweet of him to come up with all those things. Although, it wasn't those things that made it amazing. It was the kiss.

   He kissed me, on the lips. I guess he is really serious about marrying me. Wait, then why am I so scared to agree? We loved each other, and we are all agreeable on the topic of marriage. There ins't really anything wrong other than age.

   And the age problem doesn't even matter because this is a royal marriage. Why am I stopping myself from marrying him when I obviously can't wait?
